BUZANIS, Louis
It is with much sadness that our family announces the passing of a beloved father, Louis BUZANIS of London in his 80th year on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital. Louis was a long standing member of the Greek Community and Council of London. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (Katerina) BUZANIS. Dear father of Georgina and Ron KRUG and grand_son Matthew of Windsor, Sophie and Ron JORGENSEN and granddaughters Cassie and Niki of Mississauga and Frank BUZANIS of London and Peter BUZANIS of Leamington. Survived by brothers and sisters Chris and his wife Georgina BUZANIS and Jim BUZANIS all of London, Noula and her husband Constantinos ARVANITIS of Stratford, Alexandra and her husband John GITZIAS and Georgina KOURVELOS all of Greece. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Fotios and Georgina BUZANIS and brother Bill BUZANIS. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W. on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Father Elias DROSSOS officiating. Prayers will be held in the chapel on Sunday evening at 8 p.m. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The family of the late Louis BUZANIS, wish to express our heartfelt and deepest gratitude to all our relatives. It was your comforting words and deeds that has helped us through this most difficult time. A special thank you to Chris and Georgina BUZANIS, Jim BUZANIS, Chris and Effie TSANTILAS for their generosity and comfort to us. We thank our dear Friends, neighbours and co-workers for the home visits, charitable donations, gift of food, cards and floral tributes. To the pallbearers; Frank BUZANIS, Mike BUZANIS, George ARVANITIS, Kosta MAKROSTERGIOS, Sam THEOCHARIS and George GELAKIS for their compassion and respect given to our Dad. We would also like to thank Jim SQUIRES and staff of Logan Funeral Home for their guidance. We thank Father Elias DROSSOS and Father CHELONIS for their spiritual and kind words spoken at our Dad's service. To the staff of the Greek Community Centre and the Ladies Philoptochos Society for helping with the refreshments. We are truly grateful to Gary KERHOULAS, for his heartfelt words of tribute to our Dad. Our Dad truly loved his family and will be deeply missed but not forgotten. God called Tony peacefully on April 3rd, 2006 from the Humber River Regional Hospital - Finch Site at the age of 75. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maria. He will be cherished by his dear children Rita (Domenic ASPRO,) Rosie (Joe ESPOSITO,) and Lea (Walter BUZZELLI.) Proud grandfather of Anthony, Stefano, Michael, Adele, Daniel, and Alyssa. He will be held dear in the hearts of his brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many Friends. Family will receive Friends at the Fratelli Vescio Funeral Homes Ltd. in Woodbridge on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. (please phone the funeral home at 905-850-3332 for further funeral details).
