BURDEN, John " Jack"
Of Saint Thomas, on Sunday, April 9, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of the late Edith BURDEN (2003) and dearly loved partner of Kay BAKER and her children Faye, Debbie and Don. Much loved father of Teena VANEGGLEN and Paul BRAY of Port Stanley, Debbie and Mike JANES, Jackie BUOTE and Jay SHARKEY and Cindy and Mike BAXTER, all of Saint Thomas and John BURDEN Jr. of London. Loved grandfather of David and Jason VANEGGELEN, Mark BUOTE, Melanie and Billy JANES, Eleisha PARKER and Bradley (B.J.) BURDEN and great grandfather of Ryan VANEGGELEN. Dear brother of Mary FACEY of London, Robert BURDEN of London, Betty and Wayne CURTIS of Saint Thomas, Judy and Henry HENRI of London and Vicky and Percy PATTISON of British Columbia. Predeceased by 5 brothers Donald, Bud, Jim, Pete and Chuck and a sister Marjorie and a great-granddaughter Hailey Marie LYNCH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and extended family. Jack was born in London on April 2, 1936, the son of the late J. Oscar and Dorothy BURDEN. He worked over 27 years at Ford Motor Company of Canada, was a member of the C.A.W. and an associate member of Branch 410 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Stanley. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas, where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

BUOTE, Josephine Laura " Josie"
Of Saint Thomas, on Tuesday, November 8, 2006, at her late residence, in her 57th year. Loved daughter of Matt BUOTE of Moncton, New Brunswick and the late Pearl (LEBLANC) GREEN and step-daughter of the late George GREEN. Dearly loved sister of John and his wife Carol Anne BUOTE of Caledon and Robin BUOTE of Aylmer, and step-sister of Jack and his wife Mary Jane GREEN of Saint Thomas and the late William GREEN and his wife Nancy of Saint Thomas, Tommy and Pamela BUOTE, both of Moncton, New Brunswick. Dear friend of Brian HERMAN of Saint Thomas. Josie was born in Moncton on March 10, 1950. She worked for the Elgin Association for Community Living and was a volunteer with the Alzheimer Society of Elgin Saint Thomas. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow, with burial of ashes in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Elgin Association for Community Living.

BUOY, Ivan Wallace
Of Chesley passed away peacefully at his residence with his family on Tuesday, March 14th, 2006 in his 90th year. Retired 1981 Town Foreman of Chesley. Beloved husband of Hilda, in the 68th year of their marriage. Cherished father of Patricia DOUGHERTY of Almonte, Diana and her husband Darrell MARKOWSKI of Richmond, Michigan and Kevin and his wife Christine of Chelsey. Ivan will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by his special niece Elizabeth (John) MORRISSEY of Virginia, U.S.A. Predeceased by his four brothers, four sisters and his parents William and Eliza Jane (BROOKS) BUOY. At Ivan's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service and a graveside service will be held at the Chesley Cemetery in the spring. If desired, memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. “Now I lay me down to rest awhile so I can rise again to fight another day.“ Ivan Buoy.
