BUGEAUD,
Tammy (née
BERDAY) (1963-2006)
On Friday evening, October 13, 2006, my lovely and loving wife
Tammy BUGEAUD (née
BERDAY) suddenly passed away. She is going
to carry on through our wonderful young boys, Tyler and Chase,
in whom she instilled the caring and loving for other people
that her parents, Milt and Elaine
BERDAY of North Portal, Saskatchewan.,
helped instill in her. She's gone too young, leaving our family,
including her parents, her loving brother Doug
BERDAY and his
partner Dianna
SCHWAB, as well as relatives and extended family
including Brian and Donna (née
BERDAY)
COLLISON's family, Rob
and Angie BERDAY's family, David and Lori (née
BERDAY)
DUSKE's
family, Dick and Tania
BERDAY,
David and Linda
JONES' family,
and her numerous Friends, to mourn her passing and cherish the
time we spent with her. Tammy was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan,
and raised on the family farm near North Portal. As a girl she
was interested in sports, especially figure skating and curling.
She was a hairdresser in early adulthood. We met 25 years ago
and have been together all that time, being married the last
18 years. At first we lived together in Kindersley. We decided
to pursue careers. We moved to Saskatoon for university, her
mostly working until I was done. When we moved to Calgary she
took an accounting program. She never became an accountant; our
first boy, Tyler, came along and Tammy did what she was put here
to do, love people and raise our children. Tammy threw herself
into our boys' lives and regularly volunteered for their activities
from preschool up. If Tammy knew you, she cared about you. She
knew your spouse's name, your children's names and usually your
birthday and anniversary, where you met your spouse and if people
in your family were celebrating successes or suffering pain
she knew, she remembered and she cared. Tammy cared about people
and, in turn, people cared about her. In the past few years,
always with our boys and often with relatives and Friends, we
spent a great deal of time together on holidays in Hawaii, Mexico,
Florida, California, and other places including most recently
our summer condo in Kelowna where we shared our best summer.
These memories are going to help the rest of us. Gary
BUGEAUD
A Celebration of Life will be held at Westside King's Church
(3939 69 Street S.W.) on Friday October 20, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m.

COOK,
Nigel was born in Horsham, Sussex
in 1927, educated at Oundle School, Northamptonshire and Clare
College, Cambridge. After serving with the Royal Air Force and
Royal Air Force Vol. Reserve 1946-54 and beginning his career
with Transparent Paper Ltd, he emigrated to Canada with his bride
and growing family in 1957. Here his family and career thrived
as he spent the next 20 years in management positions in the
building materials manufacturing industry. He was president of
Westroc Industries, Director of British Plasterboard, and served
as a director of the National Home Builders Association of Canada.
Following this Nigel chose a less travelled career path in residential
real estate in the Oakville area as agent, broker and business
partner. A long time member of the Oakville Club, Nigel's interests
in squash, tennis, boating and music kept him active and his
Friends entertained. Nigel also applied his engineering experience
and technical aptitude to model railroading. He will long be
remembered for the family parties he and Babs hosted with games
and activities for all ages. As his disease progressed Nigel
lost his joie de vivre and slowly withdrew from social activities.
Nigel and Babs have been residing quietly in Milton for several
years. Following Nigel's wishes, he has been cremated and a memorial
service and suitable send off will be arranged when his snowbird
Friends have returned. Donations may be made in his memory to
the Victorian Order of Nurses Canada Foundation.
