After a courageous battle, on Friday, April 21, 2006, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. James GLENN of Strathroy in his 69th year. Beloved hsuband of Elizabeth GLENN (DORTMANS- HENDRIKX) and the late Marilyn GLENN (BICE) (2004.) Loving father of Robert GLENN and Lisa and Paul LUTOWICZ all of Strathroy. Loving step-father of Adrian DORTMANS and Conny MacINTYRE, John and Rita DORTMANS, Lia and Willy TOONEN, Annie and John RUTTEN, Rick and Julie DORTMANS, Tony and Kelly DORTMANS, Rob and Teresa DORTMANS and Willy and Joanne DORTMANS. Proud grandfather of Nathan and Tyler GLENN, Kevin and Ian LUTOWICZ and many step-grandchildren. Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, July 3, 2006, Harvey Ralph LOCKREY of R.R.#3 Thedford passed away in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Hannah (LARKIN) LOCKREY (1998.) Loving father of Michael and Freda LOCKREY of Thedford, Patty and Steve POWELL of Northville, and Jo-Anne and Richard LEWYLLE of Thedford. Cherished grandfather of Troy (Kelly,) Tracey (Drew), Todd (Jeannie), Selina, Clint, Travis, Brandie, and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law Martin LARKIN, Harry MATHERS, and sister-in-law Donna LOCKREY. Sadly missed by caregiver Kim BICE. Predeceased by siblings Nelson LOCKREY, Gladys LACEY, Orval LOCKREY, and Doris HILBORN. Peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre, Ottawa, in his 92nd year. Dearly loved husband of Myrtle (STEVENSON.) Proud father of Sandy and John. Art is greatly missed by grand_son Kerry, and Yvonne BICKERSTAFF. Also survived by his sister Ruth (Murray) GREEN and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Elsie HEPDITCH and his grand_son Lee. Friends may call at the Valley Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp, on Thursday, May 25, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Torboltan Cemetery at a later date. Art graduated in Forestry Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1937. During World War 2 he taught navigation with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He worked for the Canadian Forestry Service until retiring in 1974 to his beloved "Riverwood". Art will be fondly remembered by his Friends and neighbours in the Woodlawn area. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Grove in Arnprior and at the Perley, Gatineau 2N for their excellent care. HODGSON, Eileen Marion Louise (née BICKFORD)
Eileen died peacefully in her sleep on November 17th, 2006 in her 96th year. Dear mother of Ronald, Christopher and Neil, she was predeceased in 2005 by John, her husband of 66 years. She will be sorely missed by her sons, daughters-in-law (Jocelyne, Margaret and Brenda) and their families including 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Eileen will also be mourned by the genealogical fraternity where she has left an extensive legacy of research which she has shared with her many Friends and relatives in Canada, England, Australia and the United States. Special thanks to the staff of Granite Ridge, Country House in Stittsville for the tender care she has received during her stay there. Also to the Ottawa Library and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind for all the audio books she "read" in the past few years. Despite her loss of vision she was able to see the world again through these books. A memorial service will be held on December 2, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. at All Saints Anglican Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario followed by the burial of her ashes in Lundy's Lane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Peacefully at University Hospital on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (BICKNELL) GLOIN. Dear father of Brian GLOIN and his wife Debra of Strathroy and Dianne RITZ of London. Loving grandfather of Matt (John Paul,) Ben (Liz), Kasandra and James. John was lovingly called "Prof" by his Friends and family. He had a teaching career that spanned nearly four decades. He started teaching in a one room school in the small community of Dunboyne at the age of 18. He later taught in Maidstone and was principal of an elementary school in Glencoe. He returned to university and acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. In 1948, he came to London where he taught history and was head of the history department at South Collegiate until he retired in 1977. During his teaching career, he acquired his Masters of Education degree from the University of Toronto and was quite involved in the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation. John was a fifty year member of the Kilwinning Lodge #64, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons and a member of the Scottish Rite in the 32nd degree. John was also a member of Mocha Temple. Friends may call on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 Saint_James Street at Richmond where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 8 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. POWLESLAND, Katherine Isabella Peacefully, at the W.O.H.C. - Etobicoke Campus, on Saturday, November 25, 2006 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late John William. Loved mother of Joan and her late husband Roger REID- BICKNELL, Jim and his wife Laura, Anne and her companion Wayne, and Bill. Cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 11. Isabel will be fondly remembered by her niece Susan GRAPER, extended family and many Friends. To honour Isabel's wishes cremation has taken place prior to visitation. Friends will be received at the "Woodbridge Chapel" of Scott Funeral Home, 7776 Kipling Avenue (at Hwy 7) on Wednesday, November 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at Christ Church Anglican, 8045 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge at 11 a.m. followed by interment in the church cemetery. At Bluewater Health - Norman Street Site on Monday, May 1st, 2006, Edith May (BICUM) ORESKOVICH of Sarnia passed away. Loving wife of former Sarnia radio announcer Steve (Glenn) ORESKOVICH, dear mother of Doctor Susan RODGER and her husband Tom of London and Jeremy Wayne ORESKOVICH of Sarnia, grandmother of Jessie, Marguerite and Anne-Marie RODGER and Alden James ORESKOVICH, sister of Gordon BICUM and his wife Selma of Sombra, step sister of Dick MARTIN and his wife Elizabeth of Stoney Creek, daughter in law of Ana ORESKOVICH and sister in law of Katy BARKEL, both of Schumacher, Ontario, and special cousin of Stuart and Ann BRADBURN of Sarnia. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Edith was born in Kinistino, Saskatchewan and was employed as an office manager in Sarnia. A celebration of her life will be held from the chapel of the D.J. Robb Funeral Home on Friday, May 5th at 1: 00 p.m. with Reverend Richard HEBBOURN of Trinity Anglican Church, Sarnia officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday beginning one hour prior to the service time. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family.
