A great woman, a gift from God. "Jesus lives: be not afraid!

On Good Friday, April 14th, 2006, Ellen went to be with Jesus,
the one who died for her and who said "today you will be with
me in Paradise." As Jesus was raised from death so she will be
praise God! Easter in heaven; wonderful. Ellen was born in The
Netherlands in 1939 and came to Canada with her parents, John

A brother Andre died in infancy. Friends will be received at
Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 716 Classic Drive, London,
on Monday from 2: 00 till 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 till 9:00 p.m.
and Tuesday from noon till 1: 00 p.m. A service to celebrate Ellen's
life will be conducted at Bethel Church at 1: 00 p.m. on Tuesday,
April 18th followed by interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations
to the Canadian Cancer Society or Christian Reformed Home Missions.

Passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 in Tilburg, Holland
after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Harry A.C. (formerly
president of Philips Electronics Canada). Dear mother of Ernest
(Marianne) of Calgary, Frank (Cynthia) of Toronto, in Holland
of Monique (Rob), Carla (Vincent) and Mark (Ingeborg). Zus was
an incredibly dedicated mother and grandmother of 13 grandchildren.
She always remembered fondly all of the great Friends we made
in Toronto when we lived here as a family from '64-'71. her single-minded
focus was her family and for that we we will forever be grateful.
The funeral is planned for Monday just outside Tilburg in the
town of Loon op Zand where she has lived for the past 5 years
and the burial will be in Oud Turnhout, Belgium next to her beloved
Harry. Mom, you too were truly magic. Thank you so much!

be remembered as a caring and generous friend who loved to smile
and laugh and was full of fun. Her home had an open door -- where
her children's Friends were always welcome. Her boundless generosity
and spirit touched hundreds of lives while she worked with the
homeless at the Mustard Seed Street Ministry in Calgary. If Friends
so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer
Society, to honor Joanne. A Memorial Service to celebrate Joanne's
life will be held in Seaforth, Ontario at the Legion Hall on
February 18th, 2006 beginning at 3 p.m. All are welcome.
