Mabel grew
up on the family farm at Massie, Ontario. She entered the University
of Toronto at 15 and graduated with a degree in mathematics and
physics at 19 in 1929. A gifted teacher, she taught high school
mathematics in Cayuga, Ontario, before her marriage to Robert
TURNBULL in 1935. Mabel spent most of her married life in Beauharnois,
Quebec, and was happy to resume her teaching career there in
the late fifties. When widowed in 1983, she moved to Sarnia and
continued the tradition of spending every summer at the family
cottage on Lake Joseph in Muskoka. In accordance with Mabel's
wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has
taken place. Burial will be arranged at a future date at St. Edward's
Presbyterian Church cemetery in Beauharnois, Quebec, where she
will rest with her dear husband. Arrangements entrusted to McKenzie and
Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131. Donations

Grand Bend in her 63rd year. She was the beloved wife of Gordon
NOELS, mother of Brent and his friend, Kim

Craig of Whistler, British Columbia and Erin of Exeter. Sister
of Patricia
BEKKE and her husband, Harry of Vancouver, British
Columbia, Linda
NORTON and her husband, Robert, of London and
George JACKSON and his wife, Anita, of LaRonge, Saskatchewan.

Peter of Grand Bend. Connie also enjoyed a close relationship
with many nieces, nephews and Friends. Predeceased by her parents,

Connie
was very active in volunteer work both in London and Grand Bend.
She enjoyed her work with the Thames Valley Children's Centre
and Community Living-South Huron. She also was very involved
with the Tourism Office in Grand Bend. Connie was a member of
Saint John's by the Lake Anglican Church in Grand Bend where a
private family service will be conducted by The Reverend Father
Bill WARD on Thursday, January 12th at 11: 00 a.m. Friends and
relatives will be received in the Terrace Room of Oakwood Inn,
Grand Bend, commencing at 1: 00 p.m. A celebration of Connie's
life will begin at 2: 00 p.m. followed by a reception. Cremation
has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Community Living-South
Huron, Box 29, Dashwood, Ontario, N0M 1N0 would be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank all the staff of the Parkwood Hospital
Palliative Care Unit who were so gracious and kind. We also wish
to thank everyone for their support, flowers, and good wishes
during Connie's long hospital stay. C. Haskett and son Funeral

Eeuwe "Joe" was born in Holland on August 21, 1915, the son of
the late Gjalt and Grietje
(RIEMERSMA)
WYMENGA. He came to Canada
in 1948 and worked at Merlin Motors, Iron Foundry and then farmed.
He was an original member of the First Christian Reformed Church
and was active throughout his life, sang in the choir, was on
Church Counsel, was involved in the London Christian School,
Redeemer College and the Saint Thomas Christian School. Resting
at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Wednesday
afternoon and then to the First Christian Reformed Church for
funeral service at 1: 30 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery.
Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be
made to the charity of choice.
