Passed away March 10, 2006 in Vernon Hospice House, Vernon, British Columbia, after a long battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by husband Alec and her son Terry TENDAM and family. Along with her many Friends.

BAPTISTA, Carlos
January 30th, 2006 at Sunnybrook Medical Centre, after suffering a stroke. Carlos, much loved and missed by his wife Karen; son Carl, daughter-in-law Beverly; sister Tess and husband George ELLIOT/ELLIOTT of Hong Kong and brother-in-law Alex BANKS, his wife Linda and family; also by many cousins and relatives. Carlos generously volunteered at Sunnybrook Medical Centre and the Out of the Cold Program at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 1st from 5: 00-9:00 p.m., at the York Cemetery Visitation Chapel And Reception Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, 416-441-1580. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 2nd at 2: 00 p.m. with a reception to follow. The family requests donations in Carlos' memory to the Out of the Cold Program, St. Andrew's Church, 75 Simcoe Street, Toronto, Ontario M5J 1W9.

TWIBLE, Edna G.
Peacefully at Belmont House in her 100th year, Saturday November 11th, 2006. She fulfilled her life with her love of family, Friends, art and her cottage "Maribil" on Georgian Bay. Predeceased by her husband Doctor R. Lawrence TWIBLE, her son William, and her sister Muriel COWAN. Loving mother of Mary and Gerry ARMSTRONG, and her daughter-in-law Patricia TWIBLE. Much loved Nana of Susan (Chris BAPTISTE), Robert (Anne), Carol (Peter TRAYNOR). Stephen (Laura), James and Laura, and her eight precious great-grandchildren. She also leaves her niece Joy COUPEY, Linda BERRY, and nephews Robert COWAN and Bruce TWIBLE. A funeral service will be held Monday November 20th at 11 a.m. at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Our most sincere thanks to Doctor BIRMINGHAM and all the caring nursing staff at Belmont House. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, a donation may be made in her name to Belmont House Foundation or Timothy Eaton Memorial Church General Fund.

ORLANDO, Frank Joseph
On January 5, 2006, Frank ORLANDO passed away peacefully, in his sleep, surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years Esther, sons Thomas and Michael, daughter Louise, and close family friend Joseph. Also survived by his daughter-in-law Virginia; grandchildren Jonathan, Tamara, Stephanie and Michael; his sister Ida and her husband Al TUCKER. He will be lovingly remembered by his many relatives, Friends and extended family: Gary and Josie SANDRIN, Vince and Viola ARNONE, and Laura SORICHETTI, Prim arid Eric Jean BAPTISTE and family. All are invited to visit at the Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd. (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229), on Sunday, January 8, 2006 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. A service to commemorate Frank's life will he held in the Chapel on Monday at 10: 00 a.m., followed by interment with a reception at Pine Hills to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.

PRINCE, Major General H.A. "Tony," C.B.E., 6th Gurkha Rifles
While attached to the Royal Canadian Regiment 1936-37 and the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry 1937-38, Tony met Betty BAPTY in Victoria, British Columbia and took her as his bride to India where their two sons were born. John and his son Michael (California) and son Jonathan (Sweden), Anthony and Clare (London). Tony died 6th November, 2005. He is survived by his sons. Also; Laura WILLIAMS, Duncan, British Columbia. and Rev. Dr. Bruce WILLIAMS, Willowdale, Ontario. Predeceased by soldiers Harry BAPTY, Saltspring Island, British Columbia and Dr. Walter BAPTY: a graduate of the first medical class of Univ. of Western Ontario and his wife, Ellabell (GRIEVE) LIND, a native of Pond Mills (now London, Ontario) and a granddaughter of the 1837 rebellion (Victoria, British Columbia). Tony was on active service in India and Burma with the Chindits, Wavell and with Mountbatten's planning staff. Air liaison-organizing the drops for Orde Wingate and operations Longclot became vital to keeping 77th Indian and other brigades supplied in Burma. He became instructor at the Staff College, Quetta. He also served in Cyprus and Palestine. Air Liaison for the Berlin blockade 1948; served in Korea and Hong Kong. Tony was invited to take over Military Planning for South East Asia Treaty Organization in Bangkok, 1961-64. A service was held in Chester Cathedral, November 18th, 2005, with a Piper and Bugler from the Royal Gurkha Rifles. Sadness was expressed in the Last Port. Pure Liquid beauty resonated down through the ages of this ancient cathedral. For an old Soldier had died.
