Beloved husband of Maria LIMA of Strathroy and dear father of Maria and John AVELAR of Strathroy, and grandchildren Chris AVELAR and Jennifer ROBERTS and Ron and also survived by a brother in Portugal. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 9 with Father Luis Carlos PINHEIRO officiating at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy, with interment at All Saints Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family. Denning Bros. Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Fernando.

In her 87th year passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Beloved wife and soul mate to Hugh for 66 years. Loving mother to Alma (Lynne) and Marvin CHILDS of Northville, and Janis and Errol AVELING of Grand Bend. Grandmother to Tom, Susan, Lori, Sandra, and Steven. Great grandmother of 5. Dear sister of Evelyn SUCHARD, Bob and Marge SCARBOROUGH. Predeceased by brother Leonard and brother-in-law Dalt SUCHARD. Cremation has taken place and as per Margaret's wishes, no funeral service will be held. Memorial donations to the charity of choice would be greatly acknowledged. Dear father of Tom WHITBOURN (Rebecca) of Ravena, New York, Ellen (Ralph) LINKER of Petrolia, Linda (Larry) BUREN of Strathroy, Rob WHITBOURN (Sue) of Mount Brydges, Joanne WHITBOURN (Jeff) of Glencoe and Dale WHITBOURN of Saskatchewan. Will be sadly missed by 14 grandchildren. Survived by brothers and sisters Harold WHITBOURN of Glencoe, Fern McFADDEN of Paisley, Marj SNELGROVE of Clinton, Jerry (Grace) WHITBOURN of Wiarton and Fred (Marie) WHITBOURN of Alvinston. Predeceased by sister Joan WESTBROOK. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. Don will be remembered for 35 years of dedicated service in scouting with the 1st Mount Brydges Scout Troop. He was a lifelong member of the North Caradoc-St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, homesteaded on the 4th concession / Falconbridge Drive for 67 years, was a 35 year employee of Master Feeds in Komoka, and foster parented for 25 years. Friends may call at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Tuesday, April 11th from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a Scout Service at 6: 30 p.m. Wednesday. Dearly loved by her 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren: Drew and Patti PURVIS (Austin, Nicholas,) Denise and Paul SHEPPARD (Avery, Lindsay, Garrett); Erin and James McNEILL, Christa AVERY, Catherine AVERY, William AVERY Holly and Kevin BALL (Michael, Mitchell, Jillian); Mark and Cathy AVERY (Edwin); Ian and Julie AVERY; Matthew ISAACS. Kevin is survived by his devoted wife Johanne TAILOR/TAYLOR (OUELLETTE,) loving sons Seth and Joshua TAILOR/TAYLOR of Saint Thomas; mother June AVERY (TAILOR/TAYLOR, HOELDKE,) brother Kirk TAILOR/TAYLOR (Lesley,) sister Kimberley McCOY (David.) Lovingly remembered by niece Sheila McCOY, nephews Calvin McCOY, Jesse, Kyle and Ryan TAILOR/TAYLOR, all of London, uncle Doctor George TAILOR/TAYLOR (Margaret) of Ottawa, aunt Julie MAHAFFY (Frank) of Bewdley, many cousins and close Friends. Pre-deceased by step-father Bert HOELDKE (1997.) Kevin was employed at T.R.W., Tillsonburg as Electrical Process Engineer, for past 14 years. Kevin enjoyed nature and outdoor activities. He served as president of Elgin Hiking Club. With his love of family and devotion to his faith, Kevin passed away peacefully. At Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 Eldon Grant McGREGOR age 79 of Camlachie after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Eldon was a member of Mandaumin United Church, a dedicated fan and volunteer of Sarnia Girls Hockey cheering on his granddaughters. A lifetime member of the Sarnia Yacht Club, an avid boater, camper, fisherman and loved the outdoors. Eldon was a well respected local contractor of E.G. McGregor Contracting. Loving husband of the late Marydell (SHORTT) McGREGOR (1996.) Dear father of Cathy and her husband Derwyn FREWIN of Sarnia, Adelle and her husband David STEWARDSON of Sarnia and the late Billy REESE. Devoted grandfather of Joseph BURLINGHAM, Marcie and Emily FREWIN and Sydney and Nathan STEWARDSON. Loving companion and friend of Donanne AVERY and her family. After a long life lived with energy and dignity, Dorothy GRANGE of Auburn died at Huronview, Clinton, Ontario, December 24, 2006. Born Dorothy Elizabeth WALTERS, on January 14, 1912 at Benmiller, daughter of Clarence WALTERS and Elizabeth MORRISH. Beloved mother of Elizabeth (Roderick SINGH,) London, Judith (d.1950,) Margo (Thomas MORRIS), Goderich, Jennifer (Timothy AVERY), Toronto and Shelley (Robert WORSELL,) Auburn. Adored grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by niece Marie LAWSON, London. Predeceased by sisters Lottie FEAGAN and Maizie GLIDDON and brothers Frank and Benson WALTERS. Very active in the community, she was a member of Knox United Church, of the Huron County Historical Society, and life member of the United Church Women and the Horticultural Society. Honoured by the province in 2001 for her more than 50 years of volunteer service. Her family will remember her as a traveler, swimmer, dancer, cook and gardener extraordinaire who set the standard for a life well-lived.
