March 22nd, 2006, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late
James Alexander
THOMAS.
Predeceased by her beloved sons, Robert
(Bobby) 1935-1948 and baby Alex, and her sister Victoria Mary,
and brothers Edward and Samuel
ASSAF.
Loving mother of Bruce
and his wife, Gayle. Proud grandmother of Andrea (Brian), James,
Liane (David), Bruce Jr. (Cari) and great-grandmother of Annabelle,
Natalie, Oscar and Henry. Devoted sister-in-law and aunt to many
nieces and nephews and cousins in Canada, Brazil and Argentina.
Edna was a long time volunteer at the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto
and at the St. Andrews Hospital in Midland (President of the
Women's Auxiliary). She was the President of the Chancel Guild
of the Saint Mark's Anglican Church; and a parishioner of Grace
Church-on-the Hill, Toronto. Edna was also an avid curler at
the Midland Curling Club and a keen golfer and a long time member
of the Midland Golf and Country Club, as well as a member and
attendee of the Current Events Club of Toronto. She was a great
lady who will be missed by all her family and her Friends, Stephanie
and her entire staff at the Bradgate Arms, and in particular
by 'Pickles' to whom she was devoted. The family will receive
Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview
Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
on Friday, March 24th. The funeral service will be held on Saturday,
March 25th at 11 o'clock in Grace Church-on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale
Road. A reception will follow at Grace Church Parish Hall.

Left his world the way he lived it, as a true and dignified gentleman,
succumbing to cancer on April 1, 2006 at the Victoria Hospital,
with his family by his side. Born in Kent, England, August 1925,
Ron served with the Royal Air Force during World War 2, postings
icluded Belgium, France, Holland and Turkey. After the war, Ron
became a prominent electrical engineer in England, immigrating
to Canada in 1958, working for the Department of Transport Canada
for 22 years at London International Airport, as a maintenance
supervisor. Ron was an incredible man with a sense of humour,
strength of character, always ready to help, and he loved his
garden. Ron is the beloved husband of 50 years and best friend
of Margaret ("Petal"). Loving and devoted father of Lisa and
