VAN ASSELDONK, Martin
Of Wallaceburg, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2006 at Riverview Gardens in Chatham at the age of 79 years. He was born in Gamert, Holland and was a son of the late Antonious and Johanne (VAN ALPHONE) VAN ASSELDONK. Beloved husband of Frances (VAN ARKEL) VAN ASSELDONK. Dear father and father-in-law of Tony and Joan VAN ASSELDONK of London, Maria and Rick KERR, Joanne and John DEBRUYN and Bernie and Harley TAILOR/TAYLOR all of Wallaceburg, Lawrence and Aline VAN ASSELDONK of Sarnia, Robert and Kelly VAN ASSELDONK of Alberta and Linda VAN ASSELDONK of Wallaceburg. Loving Opa of Brandon, Dean, Michael, Steven, Stacey, Annette, Anthony, Christopher, Megan, Luke, Kathrine and loving great Opa of Ashley and Adrianna. Kind brother of Nolda, Riek, Annie, Jan, Theo and Andrian all of Holland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Annette, two sisters Mein and Toos and a brother Anton. Visitation will be held at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin St. in Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Help Church. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral Wednesday at 8: 30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Lung Association may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in the Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Martin VAN ASSELDONK.

ROBERTS, Lenore Shirley (née ROCK)
Of Saint Thomas, on Monday, May 22, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 72nd year. Dearly loved wife of Melvin Robert ROBERTS and loved mother of William Harold ROBERTS of Vancouver and his son Tyler and Diane Shirley ROBERTS of Saint Thomas and her children Rob and Alana ARKEL. Dear sister of Dave and his wife Nan ROCK of Saint Thomas, Joanne and her husband Dave THOMAS of Saint Thomas, Jeannie and her husband Doug EWING of San Diego, Cal. And the late Loraine CLERC. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Lenore was born in Saint Thomas on November 4, 1934, the daughter of the late Harold and Hazel (HATCH) ROCK. She enjoyed bowling. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Shriners Hospital for Children.

LEWIS, Frank Berwick
Peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Jeannette (ARKELL) for 58 years. Dearly loved father of Audrey (Terry) SIMPSON of Bancroft and Judy of Kingston. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, and Andrew. Predeceased by his sisters, Josephine (Force), Mary, and Kathleen. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephew, and many cousins. Born in Orillia, Frank grew up in Collingwood. He later lived in Toronto and Napanee and made his home in Niagara Falls for the past 52 years. Frank was a former principal at Stamford Collegiate and a former teacher and vice-principal at A.N. Myer Secondary School. He served as chairman of the Niagara Falls Public Library Board from 1979 to 1983. He was an active member of Saint Martin's Anglican and then Holy Trinity Anglican Church. A veteran of World War 2, he graduated from the University of Toronto, Trinity College. Frank had a keen interest in family and Friends. He took great pleasure in his children's, grandchildren's, and relatives' accomplishments. He will be lovingly remembered by everyone whose lives he touched. Family and Friends will be received at the Morse and son Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Chippawa on Saturday afternoon at 1: 00 o'clock. LEWIS, M. Jeannette (née ARKELL)
Peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Millenium Trail Manor, Niagara Falls at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Frank (d. April 2006) for 58 years. Dearly loved mother of Audrey (Terry) SIMPSON of Bancroft and Judy of Kingston. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, and Andrew. Predeceased by her sisters, Ruth (Ryrie) and Audrey. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephew, and many cousins. Jeannette was born and grew up in Niagara Falls. She later lived in Toronto and Napanee, but returned to Niagara Falls where she made her home for the last 52 years. Jeannette received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toronto, Trinity College. She was a 50-year life member of the Canadian Federation of University Women, Niagara Falls Club. She was an active member of Saint Martin's Anglican and then Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Jeannette was also a member of both the Young Women's Christian Association and Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire for many years. She had several life-long Friends and formed many lasting Friendships, particularly during her university years and through the numerous bridge clubs to which she belonged. The family wishes to acknowledge the great assistance and support given to Jeannette by her dear Friends, Jackie and Carm Dix of Niagara Falls. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the wonderfully caring Elgin staff at Millenium Trail Manor where Jeannette spent her final months. Visitation will take place at the Morse and son Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Friday from 2-3: 30 and 6:30-8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Chippawa on Saturday at 12: 00 o'clock noon. Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, Carol Ann COULTER (née MITCHELL) of Mount Brydges, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 after a very short battle with cancer. Loving wife of Gary. Dear mother of Gail, and her husband Fred CAHILL, Pam, and Heather and her husband Dan JACKSON. A wonderful grandmother to Stewart and wife Sheri, Greg and Coulter CAHILL, and Carter and Griffin JACKSON. Dear sister of Peggy ARKINSON and her husband Archie (Montreal,) Ted MITCHELL and his wife Jone (Halifax.) Sister-in-law of Carol E. COULTER (Pugwash, Nova Scotia). Aunt to Lisa and Jeffrey. Best friend of Ann GOULD and dear friend to many others. She will be missed for her compassion and care for others. She was a member of the May Court of London Marionettes and the Canadian Celiac Association -- London Chapter. And she truly enjoyed her summers in Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been made at Denning Brothers Funeral Home, Strathroy, Ontario. Visitation on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service at 11: 00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Funeral Home. Cremation with interment in Nova Scotia to follow. BREADMORE, Robert George
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in his 82nd year. Robert, beloved husband of the late Thelma HOOD. Dear father of Bob and his wife Anne BREADMORE of Markham and Ann and her husband Peter ARKWRIGHT of Wasaga Beach. Sadly missed by his sister Margaret BREADMORE of Collingwood and sister-in-law Jean GRAINGER of England. Will be forever cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren John and his wife Janice, Craig and Regan BREADMORE, Robert, David and James ARKWRIGHT, great-grandchildren Danielle and Connor BREADMORE, MacKenzie BREADMORE- DELL and his nieces Jenny and Linda GRAINGER.
