Loved father of Sandra (Tom) KOSLONEN, Patricia (Hassib) ZABIAN and Paul BEDNAREK. Dear grandfather of Kimberley (Jorge) PRADO, Michelle (Russ) ANSELL, Nasser ZABIAN, Elysia BEDNAREK, Joshua BEDNAREK and great-grandfather of Abigail and Kaitlynn ANSELL and Javier PRADO. Predeceased by his parents Powell and Maria BEDNAREK, his brothers William (Natalie) BEDNAREK, Eugene (Verna) BEDNAREK and by his sister Angela BEDNAREK. Walter was a veteran of World War 2 serving with the Polish Army and was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock and worked at Standard Tube for over 18 years. FAUTLEY, Alfred Charles
Born April 24, 1916, London, United Kingdom, died January 5, 2006 at Toronto East General Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Doris (née ANSELL,) sister Maisie SADLER, son John, and granddaughter Mimi. He will be fondly remembered by extended family and Friends in Canada and abroad. Alf's passing was preceded by several days by the death of his younger brother Stan in Clacton-on-Sea, England. Alf, a World War 2 Veteran of the British Armed Forces, immigrated to Canada with his wife and son in 1953. He built the family home in Highland Creek and worked as an upholsterer, foreman and production manager at Barrymore Furniture in Toronto until his retirement in 1981. He was an avid gardener and a skilled carpenter. His strength, courage, humour and pragmatism earned the respect of all who knew him. He was a cherished and constant husband, father and friend who will be dearly missed. Visitation will take place at Pine Hills Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, Tuesday, January 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Pine Hills Chapel, Wednesday, January 11 at 1: 30 p.m. Donations in Alf's memory may be made to Warden Woods Bell Estate Club; or In Memory, Providence Healthcare Foundation George Macri Fund, organizations which provide ongoing support to his wife, Doris.

Loving father of Michael DENCH of Saint Thomas, Neil DENCH (Wendy) of London, and John DENCH (Kathleen) of Saint Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Andrew, Laura, Carla, Jordan and Robin. Dear brother of Joy FRANKS (David) in England. Special friend of Karen, Terri and Raeda. Also survived by a nephew, Wayne COVEY (Angie) in England. Born in Three Bridges, Sussex, England, September 2, 1934, the son of the late Frederick and Edith (ANSFIELD) DENCH. He was a retired engineer at the Ford Motor Company of Canada's Saint Thomas Assembly Plant. John was a former member of the Jumbo Striding Club. Predeceased by her husband, Clifford PRINGLE (1985) and six siblings. Dearly loved by her family: daughters Sharron CHRISTIE and her husband Dave of Mossley, and Karen FISHER of London; grandchildren Jay CHRISTIE and his wife Connie of Beachville, Shannyn CHRISTIE- LYRAS and her husband J.F. LYRAS of St. Philips, Newfoundland, Michelle FISHER and Kerry FISHER of London; great-grandchildren Alix and D.J. CHRISTIE and Reign FISHER; and several nieces and nephews. Realtor remembered
An outspoken and thundering voice in Wasaga Beach was silenced last week.
Doug ANSTEY, a Wasaga Beach real estate sales representative affectionately known as 'Old Doug' died November 30 after a short battle with liver cancer at the age of 75.
"He had a loud thundering voice that is well-known in the town but he also had a softer side," said his daughter Darlene ANSTEY in a telephone interview. She said he expressed that softer side through his poetry
Mr. ANSTEY was diagnosed with cancer in September and learned in October the illness was untreatable.
Darlene said his health declined very quickly in a little more than two months and he died in hospital last week surrounded by family.
Doug is survived by his wife Lillian, their four children Douglas, Dianne, Darlene and David, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his dog Porsche.

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Thursday November 30, 2006 at the General and Marine Hospital in Collingwood in his 76th year. Doug, beloved husband of Lillian ANSTEY of Wasaga Beach. Loving father of Douglas and his wife Sue ANSTEY, Dianne “Dee” and her husband Carl KEARNS, Darlene ANSTEY and her husband Darrin CRUSE and David and his wife Anne ANSTEY. Will be forever cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren Paul, Ryan, Shelley, Holly, Jay, Keri, Kyle, Drew and Susan and great-grandchildren Hannah and Myles. Dear brother of Lorraine, Shirley and David. Will also be sadly missed by his dog Porsha and his cat Pepper. Predeceased by brother Ed and parents Frank and Phoebe ANSTEY. Visitation took take place on Sunday December 3, 2006 from 1-4 in the afternoon at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Monday December 4, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment, Wasaga Beach Cemetery. Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Maple Villa Long Term Care Centre, Burlington. Beloved husband for 57 years of Joyce (NEW.) Loving father of Bruce (Fay) of Guelph, Donald (Tina) of Canmore Alberta, Tom of Water Valley Alberta, and Gail VENTERS (Mark) of Hamilton. His two grand daughters, Fa-Linn and Nani of Canmore, Alberta, as well as several nieces and nephews will also mourn him. Born in Toronto April 16, 1926 and son of the late Stanley Thomas and Isabel WOOLLINGS. Predeceased by his brother Stanley James, his sisters Violette PHILLIPS and Beatrice ANSTICE. Norm attended Normal Model School, Harbord Collegiate and received a B.A.Sc. in 1948 and a M.A.Sc. in 1950 from the University of Toronto. He retired in 1984 after 31 years with Alchem/Nalco Inc. Cremation has taken place.
