MENZEL, Peter W.
Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 15th, 2006. Peter is survived by his wife Ursula; daughters Andrea MENZEL, Cornelia AMICABILE (Uwe ECHTERMANN) and Petra HINKE (Uwe FRICKE); grandchildren Daisy, Corrado and Juri; sisters Gabriele RAPPENECKER (John) and Steffi STEWARD/STEWART/STUART (Ted,) as well as numerous nieces and nephews throughout North America and Europe. Born and educated in Germany, Peter arrived in Canada over fifty years ago and made this country his home. He was a sailor and world traveller, wildlife enthusiast and dedicated businessman. Known to all as a generous friend, always a gentleman and a true helmsman, both on board EKU 111, as well as, for his family and company. He will be greatly missed by us all. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, November 18th and from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 19th. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, 245 Eglinton Avenue East, Suite 410, Toronto M4P 3J1 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 20 Holly Street, Suite 101, Toronto M4S 3B1.

Loving father of Howard (Mary,) Sheelah BRODIE (Rob,) Alexandra, and Des (Anne). Cherished grandfather of Michele Carty (Mike), Colleen BARRETT, Patrice, Liane BRODIE, Kelly AMIRAULT (Shawn), Jamie BRODIE (Kate,) and Victoria. Adored great-grandfather of six. Dear brother of Gladys DOHERTY, and the late James HUNTER, and Ethel LONG. Edward will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Maureen HUNTER. Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband Orland NICHOLS. Dear mother of Jo-Anne (Wayne) SYMINGTON, Wayne (Tammy) NICHOLS, Bill (Tammy) NICHOLS and Tim (Cory) NICHOLS. Cherished grandmother of Hannah and Nathan SYMINGTON, Tyler, Maggie and Zachary NICHOLS, Charles and Laura NICHOLS, and Orland NICHOLS. Sister of Alexander (Ruth) of Thunder Bay, John of North Middlesex and Douglas (Lori) of Strathroy. Also survived by nephews, aunts and cousins. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (Beechwood) on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Larry AMIRO officiating.
