Loving "second" mother of Bill CARTER and his wife Gene, Sylvia DIMMEL and her husband Don, and mother-in-law of Marion CARTER all of London. Dear grandmother of twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Murray CARTER and her daughter Marcelle LADD, her son-in-law Elvin LADD and sisters Ella AIKEN, Norma LANTZ and Dorothy ARNOLD and brother Gordon THOMAS. AIKEN, John Edward
Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital Friday, June 2nd, 2006, at the age of 82 after a long and healthy life. He loved his family, he loved his home and he loved to ski. He worked right until the end and is now officially retired. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Barbara, his son David (Sue) AIKEN and his daughters; Nancy (Tim) LUDWIG and Heather (Mark) EWALD. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Rachael and Kellen AIKEN and Emmett and Meg EWALD. Please join us in celebrating his life, Monday, June 12th, 2006 at 3: 00 p.m. at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph. Father John passed into Eternal Life on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Scarborough General Hospital. He was the son of the late Bernard and Bernarda WEELINK and dear brother of Hettie TROTTIER, Ann and her husband Alf LUCKASAVIDCH, Henry and his wife Elve and the late Roger. Uncle of David and Heather, Mary Lynne and Norm, Roger and Klaudia, John and Cindy, Paul and Joyce, Brent and Kimberly. Father was ordained to the Priesthood on June 2, 1962 by Bishop Philip POCOCK at Saint Michael's Cathedral. He served at Saint Mary's, Barrie, Saint Margaret's, Midland, St. Brigid's, Toronto and Pastor at St. Patrick's, Staynor, and Guardian Angels, Orillia. Resting at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine (St. Clair Ave. E., east of Victoria Park) from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Concelebrated Mass on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery with his parents. Special thanks to the Scarborough General Hospital I.C. Proud grandmother of Keith, Kevin, Kirk, Zaheer, Omar, Nicola, Danyel, Angela, Nicholas, Crystal, Melissa, Payton, Logan, Charles, Joseph, Angelina and Anthony, and great-grandmother of Omar Jr., Luz, Alicia, Rosalind, Cole and Ellie. Predeceased by her brothers Frank and Compton, she is survived by her sisters Evelyn, Anna, Beatrice, Marguerita and Mary.
