Eva (Nanny) passed away peacefully on March 31, 2006 surrounded

DOMINA, her great-grandchildren Noah, Clayton,
Christopher, Brittany, Matthew and her best friend Toby. Eva
was born in Hungary in 1930. After escaping Hungary in 1949,
Eva finished high school and entered University in Innsbruck.
She left Austria in 1951 and immigrated to Canada where she worked
hard and her only dream was to have a better life for her family.
Her favourite pastimes were walking her dog Toby, reading and
travelling. A Celebration of Nanny's life will be held at Sands
Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Ave., Nanaimo, British Columbia on
Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 4: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please
make a donation in memory of Eva to the Kidney Foundation. Special
thanks to all the nurses, care attendants and housekeeping personnel
at the Palliative Care Unit in Nanaimo Hospital, who helped make
Nanny and families last days together as comfortable as possible.
