ALGER, Mona (née PITTMAN)
Peacefully at Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich, Ontario on Thursday March 2, 2006 surrounded by the love of her daughter Laurie, Mona (PITTMAN) ALGER in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Frederic Joseph ALGER (2000.) Loving mother of Linn (Trina) ALGER of Sugarloaf, California; Judi (Richard) TREADWAY of Jamestown, California, Laurie ROSZELL of Bayfield, Ontario and Heather (Art MacCOLL) ALGER of Erin, Ontario. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Christopher (Nikki) ACORD, Steven (Alicia) ACORD, Michael (Cinnamon) ACORD, Lisa (Sam) NORD and Jason ALGER and Rileigh ALGER- MacCOLL and her great grandchildren Sarah, Jordan, Lily, Zack, Dillon, Shaun, Kyle, Jacob and Joshua. Dear sister of Ginger PITTMAN of Williamsburg, Virginia; Marian (Bob) MURRAY of Mesa, Arizona Fay (Dr. Harry) DONALDSON of Calgary, Alberta; Norma (Art) SCHUELER, Hixon (Verna) PITTMAN and Lyle (Gill) PITTMAN all of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her parents Linn and Mary Ann (nee CALDWELL) PITTMAN, one sister Lola and by three brothers Jack, Lloyd and Linn PITTMAN. At Mona's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. -- Clinton Chapel, 153 High Street, Clinton, Ontario on Saturday March 11, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial of Mona's ashes will take place at the Bayfield Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County or to the Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich will be gratefully acknowledged. (Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. 519-482-9521).

Suddenly in Toronto on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in his 57th year. Dearly loved son of Anita and the late John ACORN of Newmarket. Father of Alan, Josh, Jody and Jamie. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Debbie and Bill LANG, Holly and Lou STRONGE, Ken ACORN, Julie CHAMBERS, Donna ROSS, Maxine COLLINS, Perry ACORN, Leona and Derek THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, and Terena BOND. Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health - Whitby on March 18th, 2006 in her 72nd year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ellen was the beloved wife of 52 years to Robert. Loving mother of Tim and his wife Rita of Toronto, Shelley and her husband Joseph and Michele and her fiancé Laird, all of Calgary. Dear grandma to Kristen, Garrett, Ashley and Michael. Cherished sister of Bernard WHITE/WHYTE and his wife Joan of Ottawa. Grandfather to nineteen precious grandchildren. Dear brother of Elinor FESTA of Oakville.
