McMULLEN,
Edward, 1936 -- Died This Day
Career criminal born circa, 1905
A member of the notorious Red Ryan gang that terrorized Ontario,
Quebec and New York during the Depression, he was captured and
served time for bank robbery. In 1936, he was paroled and decided
to marry, make a fresh start and move to Vancouver. Luck was
against him. Unable to find work, he again turned to crime. After
committing a series of robberies in the Lower Mainland of British
Columbia, he realized the police were on to him and made a run
for the U.S. border. He was stopped at the Blaine, Washington.,
crossing and, after an altercation, shot and killed a U.S. customs
officer. He sped away from the border in his car and, in his
haste to escape, mistakenly shot himself in the head while attempting
to drive and shoot over his shoulder at the same time. He died
in hospital in Bellingham, Washington.

McMURRAY--In memory of a loving husband, father and grandfather John Thomas, who passed away March 20, 2005.
We little knew that morning,
That God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.
Always loved and remembered by your loving wife Margaret, daughter Adele, son Kevin and Carrie, grandchildren Jasmine, Austin and Faith.
