died quietly at home Sunday, April 16, 2006. Born in Halifax,
Nova Scotia, on December 12, 1921, he was the
son of the late
Rev. William and Amaret
(CAIRNS)
MULLIGAN.
His family moved from
Halifax, to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island then to Sydney
Mines, Nova Scotia. They purchased a summer house in Black Rock
and maintained a connection to Cape Breton Island from then on.
They moved on to Montreal, Québec where Bill spent his formative
years. Bill fought with the First Hussars (6th Canadian Armoured
Regiment) during World War 2 and crossed the beachheads on D-day
1944. After the war he attended McGill University and received
a degree in dentistry. He served at M.A.S.H. units in the Canadian
Dental Corps during the Korean Conflict. After Korea he obtained
a degree in Orthodontics from the Université de Montreal. He
set up his Orthodontic practice in Saint John, New Brunswick
in 1957. In 1958 he married Gerry
WHITE/WHYTE whom he had known since
childhood in Sydney Mines. Bill was a long time elder and pillar
of Saint_John and St. Stephen Presbyterian Church. He was a member
of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Board
of Orthodontics, and the Canadian Dental Association. Bill was
kind, he was generous, he appreciated the ridiculous. He loved
fine food ('One should be venturesome when it comes to food!').
He loved travel to tropical locales. He never forgot to drop
a postcard to his Friends. He chronicled our lives in slides
and movies. He adored his granddaughters. He is survived by 2 daughters,

that she lived life to the fullest with family as her first priority
enjoying laughter, music, and family time. Marilyn worked for
most of her career at Sheridan College as Manager of the Book
Store where she enjoyed the young people. The family will receive

(Hwy. 10), Brampton on Tuesday April 4th, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

and courageous struggle with cancer. Dearly loved sister of Judd

saddened when a stroke took Barb this past July. Noni and Barb
hiked the Bruce Trail together, end to end. They were both well
known for their philanthropy in many and various causes. Noni,

by her faith and was completely devoted to her family. Although
she was reserved, she was warm, generous, resourceful and a true
and loyal friend to many. She was a woman of incredible quiet
strength and conviction. She was a talented singer, dancer, seamstress,
decorator and gardener, and she loved her desserts. She never
looked her age. Married at 29 and widowed at 49 with three young
daughters, she returned to the workforce and was employed steadily
until she retired at age 81. She and Harry were proud founding
members of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Etobicoke
and she was a longtime church choir member. The family will receive
their Friends at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2104 Kipling
Avenue (2 blocks north of Rexdale Boulevard), from 2-4 p.m. and
7-9 p.m. Thursday. Panakhyda Thursday 7: 30 p.m. Divine Liturgy
will be celebrated Friday from St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic

January 28th at 2: 00 p.m. Interment later at Norwich Cemetery.

Sadly missed by
so many Friends. Hubert was a retired employee of Chrysler Canada
where for many years his daughter and "Partner" Solange worked
side by side. He was a courageous and brave man bringing his
family to Canada in 1974 from Santiago, Chile. His children are
a testament of his sacrifice. Hubert had immeasurable love for
his family and was well known for his sense of humour and taught
his grandchildren all his tricks. "Bon nuit Papito querido, te
adoramos." As an expression of sympathy please donate to the
Hemophilia Society, Southwest Region of Ontario. Visitation will
be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel 12105 Tecumseh
Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Friday, February 17, from 2-5
and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held
from the funeral home on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 10 a.m.
to St. Rose de Lima Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11
a.m. Inurnment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A tree will be planted
in memory of Hubert
BRARD in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A
dedication service will be held on September 24, 2006. All are
