Of Caressant Care Nursing Home, Saint Thomas, on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late David Malcolm "Mac" McLAWS and dearly loved mother of Carolyn and her husband John Deer of R.R.#5 Saint Thomas and James "Jim" and his wife Susan McLAWS of Saint Thomas. Dear sister of Carman and his wife Marg HINDLEY and Calvin HINDLEY, all of Saint Thomas and Glenn and his wife Karen HINDLEY of Port Stanley. Predeceased by a sister Betty HEPBURN and a brother Wayne HINDLEY. Loved grandmother of Tyler, Darren, Bradley and Elizabeth. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Donna was born in Saint Thomas on August 15, 1929, the daughter of the late James and Kathleen (MILLMAN) HINDLEY. She owned and operated McLaws Gravel with her husband. Donna was a member of Union United Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Grampa Dan to Corey, Heidi (Andy), Andrew, Sandra (Rick), Shawna (Ray), Lori, Christopher, and great grampa of Ryan, Kylie, Jacob, Sydney, Ryan, and Jessica. Brother of Christina McCUTCHEON and Kate (Ivan) MIELHAUSEN all of Lion's Head. Brother-in-law of George HELLYER of Lion's Head. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Wiarton Hospital for their loving care and support during Dan's illness. Special thanks to Dr. VANDORP for all of his care over the years. Thank you to Tim and Debbie at the Davidson Chapel for all their help and guidance in our time of need Thank you to the ladies of Lioness for providing the lovely luncheon after the service. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband for almost 55 years to Olga "Ollie" (YURKIW) PERRY. Father of Doug PERRY and his wife Linda, Karen GRAHAM and her husband Boyd, Kim PERRY, Gary PERRY and his wife Karen, Karl PERRY and his wife Mary Elizabeth and the late Ron PERRY. Grandfather of Adam PERRY, Heather PERRY, Late Kris GRAHAM, Sharon GRAHAM, Kathryn GRAHAM, Nicole PERRY and Jenny-Ann WILKINSON, and great grandfather of Alissa and Izaac WILKINSON. Brother of Helen JONES, Reg PERRY, late Gord DRAPER and late Don PERRY. He was an uncle to many. Born in Yarmouth Twp., Ontario, February 13, 1924. He was the son of the late Albert PERRY and late Annie (DRAPER) Perry McLAY. Jim retired in 1981 as a Registered Nursing Assistant at the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. He was a member of First Yarmouth (Plains) Baptist Church, the Independent Order of Forresters, a former volunteer at Caressant Care on Bonnie Place, Saint Thomas, and the former caretaker of McArthur Cemetery, Southwold Twp. Cremation will take place with private interment in McArthur Cemetery. Also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Toronto, Ontario on January 6, 1910, daughter of the late Edmund and Marguerita JOHNSON. Iola lived in Aylmer most of her life and was a founding member of the Aylmer and District Museum. She was an avid golfer and had been a member of the Saint Thomas Golf and Country Club.
