Hazel▲ Violet▲ (Vi) MULLIGAN died peacefully on Sunday September 17, 2006 at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale Site in her 80th year.
Vi was born on July 14, 1927 to parents Charles and Mildred LEE. She was raised in the Dundalk area and after her marriage to Joe MULLIGAN resided at Victoria Corners. They built a new house in 1974 and moved to live at Lake Eugenia. After Joe died in 1985, Vi resided in the Flesherton-Markdale area until she became a resident of Grey Gables in March 2005 when failing health took away her independent living.
Vi was a stay-at-home mom caring for her eight children who survive her: Donna (Floyd) GRUMMETT, Linda▲ McGRATH, Ivan MULLIGAN, Helen (Bill) MILLER, Kathy MULLIGAN, Don (Jayne) MULLIGAN, Patti (Brian) BATCHELOR, and Marlene (Glen) McINTYRE. 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren will miss her. A sister, Muriel ALLEN, brothers Gord and Glen LEE and a daughter-in-law, Barb MULLIGAN also survive her. Her brothers Jack, Bill and Ed and a son-in-law Ron McGRATH predeceased Vi.
The family received Friends at the May Funeral Home, Markdale on Tuesday September 19. Pat GRAHAM, a close family friend, prepared supper at the McIntyre residence for the family between visitations. A Mass of Christian burial was held at Saint_John's Roman Catholic Church, Glenelg, on Wednesday September 20th, The BLACK family sang during the Mass as Father Jiri MacENAUER officiated. The interment was in Saint_John's Cemetery.
The▲ pallbearers were grand_sons Mark McGRATH, Christopher and Bradley MULLIGAN, Kyle BATCHELOR and Adam, Lee and Paul McINTYRE. The flower bearers were granddaughters Joe-Anne SMITH, Angela McGRATH, Shannon MULLIGAN, Marni GOSS, Shelley DILLMAN and Sandi BATCHELOR.
Granddaughter Lee-Anne TEETER read a "Grandma" poem. Jan POWELL, a special family friend, read a poem "Our Mom" written by Kathy MULLIGAN. Vi's favorite song, "The Rose" was played, then Sharon MULLIGAN said grace before the luncheon was served at the Glenelg Hall.
There is no doubt, a wonderful person was she
With a loving, caring nature, now set free
A wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend
A great-grandma, grandma, and loving mom to the end.

He was born in North Easthope Township, Perth County on April 8, 1922 a son of the late Joseph and Jean (TAILOR/TAYLOR) McTAVISH. Sandy served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2; he had been a salesperson for Rolland Paper; was a member of Shakespeare Optimist Club; a member of Exeter Memorial Branch #167 Royal Canadian Legion and the Stratford Saturday Noon Hour Club. He is survived by one brother, Grant McTAVISH of Mareeba, Queensland, Australia; two sisters-in-law, Lillian McTAVISH of Stratford, Dora McTAVISH of Exeter; several nieces and nephews and special Friends, the Oldershaw Family of Toronto. He will be especially missed by Murray McTAVISH whose daily visit enabled him to remain independent. He was predeceased by two brothers, Donald McTAVISH and Gordon McTAVISH; his sister and brother-in-law, Isabel and Harry DARRELL. Bill (Blonde) COOK of Goderich passed away Wednesday, January 4th, 2006 at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich in his 84th year. Born in Clinton to the late John and Avalenia (CORNISH) COOK, he is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Esther (McINTYRE) of Goderich; son Alan of Stratford; daughter Lynda and husband Ron KING of Lakeside; and grand_sons Jeffrey of Lakeside; Mike and Nicole of Saint Marys; David and Mandy of Stratford and proud great grandfather of Elizabeth. He is predeceased by his sister Elva and brother-in-law Frank MUTCH of Clinton and sister Margery in childhood. Bill served overseas as a fighter pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was one of the original members of the 421 Red Indian Squadron and flew spitfires through two tours of operation after which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, he graduated from Western and worked as a chartered accountant with the tax department. He later went into teaching and was head of the commercial department at Central Huron Secondary School until his retirement in 1986. Bill was a former past master of the Clinton Masonic Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons No. 84, serving as District Deputy Grand Master, Wilson District and member of Morning Star Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons No. 309. He was a life member of the Bluewater Shrine Club and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Clinton Branch No. 140. His war record stands as testament to his courage, spirit and perseverance; qualities which he carried throughout his life. "A true gentleman to the end," Ernest 'Mac' Clellian McINTYRE, in his 94th year, passed away at Trafalgar Terrace, on Thursday, June 22, 2006. Beloved husband of the late Mildred (née CHAPMAN) (1988). Predeceased by his sisters Marjorie and Leda belle, and brothers Fred, Earl and Lloyd. Also predeceased by his nephew and best friend Donald LAING (2004.) Mac is survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by all the staff and residents of Trafalgar Terrace. Mac was a retired longtime employee of Labatt Brewery. A thank you to Mrs. Barbara SMITH (niece) for all the caring and kindness over the years. Thank you to Trafalgar Terrace Retirement Home for all the care you have given to Mac and to the Victorian Order of Nurses for their help and care. Cremation has taken place. A graveside interment of ashes service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive (please meet at the office, inside the gates, to the right), on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at 11: 00 a.m. with The Rev. Passed away suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, at Saint Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, July 3, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Ruth was born in Oshawa and moved to London at the age of 10. She was a graduate from Victoria Hospital, London as a Registered Nurse. She raised her three children and beloved grandchildren in Kitchener over the past 48 years. Ruth enjoyed getting together with her Bridge Ladies and her involvement with the Probus Club. Ruth is survived by her loving children, Jamie (Debbie) SCOTT, Brian (Caryn) SCOTT, Mary (Jim) McINTYRE all of K-W, her beloved grandchildren, Trevor, Justin, Lindsey, Jonn, Tyler, Andrew, Andre, and Julia. She is also survived by her brother Archibald (Mary) HUSTON, and his sister-in-law Margie HUSTON. Predeceased by her parents May and Harry HUSTON, sisters Elizabeth HUSTON and Marion EDITH in infancy, and her brother Peter HUSTON. Bob had a strong and loving heart that has survived many medical ups and downs, but his faith always kept him positive and upbeat. Bob spent most of his working life at Beatty Bros. Farm Equipment following in his father's footsteps. His career was interrupted by 4 years overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces. After retirement he developed his creative talents by making furniture and jewellery in his garage workshop until the cold weather moved him to his Florida retreat. She was the beloved wife of the late Archibald McINTYRE; dear mother of Andrew and his wife Barbara of Belfountain; Peter and his wife Karen of Guelph and Barbara of St. Catharines; dear sister of Edward KINGSLAND of Hudson Heights, Quebec, Grace GARDNER of Collingwood, Ontario and Catherine WILSON, her twin, of Pittsburgh, U.S.A. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Scott and his wife Eva SALINAS, Stuart and Tomas and a great-granddaughter, Suriñe. She was predeceased by her brother, John KINGSLAND, and her sister, Janet HODGSON, both of Hudson Heights, Quebec. Other than the well-being of her family, Connie's passion in life was the game of golf. It provided her with many tournament triumphs, an all encompassing outlet for her competitive spirit, and three holes-in-one. The Cole Family announces with sorrow the death of Jon Wilfred COLE of Cobalt. Mr. COLE passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Temiskaming Hospital, New Liskeard on Sunday, January 1, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Jon had a Country and Western music group called "Jon Cole and Friends". The group would often play in seniors' homes and entertain the residents and this gave Jon the greatest pleasure. He loved to see the audience tapping their feet or clapping their hands to his music. Jon was also a member of the Kiwanis Club which does a lot of fundraising for various charities in the area. Jon was born at Cobalt on January 13, 1925 to the late Delwor COLE and Helena Rebecca VILLENEUVE. He is predeceased by his first wife Bernice Joan COLE; and siblings: Arthur, Tommy, Hector, Walter, Clarence, Bobby, Teddy and Sally. Great-grandfather of Liam and Julia MURPHY. Dear uncle of Brenda LEAR and husband Bill. Harry graduated from the Fleet Street College of Art in London, England. In Hamilton, as Art Director of Russell T. Kelley Advertising, he was well known for his work on such accounts as Dofasco, Stelco, Jaguar, Firestone and the City of Hamilton. His logos for Hamilton Place, Hamilton Public Library, Hamilton-Wentworth and Jackson Square are still visible and recognized. Harry's enjoyment of life and travel was reflected in his many landscapes, florals and portraits. Resting at the M.A. Clark Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington Street, Hamilton. Visitations Thursday at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Clark Chapel Friday, April 28 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment in Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Harry will always be treasured and loved by his family.

Passed away at the Toronto Western Hospital on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in her 75th year. Loving mother of Jim McIntyre. Dear sister of Pat Crowe and her husband Joe and Bill McINTYRE and his wife Margaret. Aunt of David and Susan CROWE.
