She left Austria in 1951 and immigrated to Canada where she worked
hard and her only dream was to have a better life for her family.
Her favourite pastimes were walking her dog Toby, reading and
travelling. A Celebration of Nanny's life will be held at Sands
Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Ave., Nanaimo, British Columbia on
Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 4: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please
make a donation in memory of Eva to the Kidney Foundation. Special
thanks to all the nurses, care attendants and housekeeping personnel
at the Palliative Care Unit in Nanaimo Hospital, who helped make

After a courageous battle with cancer on February 10, 2006 at
St. Peter's Hospital, "Bill the Bartender" has passed away just
short of his 81st Birthday. For over 40 years at Town and Country
(Mutual Street, Toronto) he listened and gave advice to his "regulars",
many of whom became personal Friends. He leaves his wife of 50
years, Jean (née
RIGBY;) children Robyn (Shayne,) Richard, Rhonda
(Tom) and Roberta; grandchildren Miranda, Kaitlyn, Kurtis (Tanya),
Richard and Emily. We will miss his easy quips and quiet sense

Scuba activity. Walt worked in the electrical department at Dow
Chemical for 30 years before retiring in 1982. The funeral service

Passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at William Osler Health
Centre, Brampton. Born in what he referred to as the "Land of
Song" - Wales, in a small village, Nantgarw, near Pontypridd,
home of singer Tom Jones. Emigrated, at 7 years of age, to Canada
with his parents and brother, John. Settled in North Hatley on
Lake Massawippi, in what he often referred to as "the beautiful
Eastern Township of Quebec." He would often comment as to "how
dear to his heart were the scenes of his childhood." Served in
the Canadian Army "R.C.E." overseas from 1940-1945. Married his
wife, Daphne, in England in 1942 and celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary in August 2002. Discharged from the Army in early
1945, settled in Montreal where his wife, Daphne, and 2 year
old son joined him in late 1945. Lived in Montreal until 1962.
Was transferred to Brampton, Ontario by the company now named
"Nortel", where he was employed as Department Manager on his
retirement after some 32 years. His wife and son joined him in
Brampton after several weeks. Predeceased by his daughter, Darlene
age 6, and his son, Barry age 24 years. Also predeceased by his
brother, John. Survived by his wife Daphne, of Brampton and niece,
Rose WEINHOLD of Cowansville, Quebec. A Funeral Service will
be held at Saint_Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church, 290 Balmoral
Drive, where he was an active member since 1963 on Wednesday,
April 5, 2006 at 10 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior.
Cremation to follow at Meadowvale Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted

Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 2, 2006
at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Russell

Loving mother of Greg (Hélène), Doug (Mary), Donna (Ron), Russ
(Kathleen) and Judy (Ken). Will also be sadly missed by her 18
grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Muriel
