Dear brother of Helen McLAUGHLIN and the late Mary TROW and brother-in-law of Dick and Val BRADSHAW, the late George TROW and the late Jim McLAUGHLIN. Educated at Upper Canada College, University of Toronto, Trinity College and Columbia University. During World War 2 from 1941-1945 Stew served as an officer in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve, on loan to the Royal Navy-Coastal Forces. He had a long and distinguished career in Independent Schools as a teacher and administrator, completing his career at Appleby College from 1974 to 1987. Suddenly, at age 78, on June 26th, 2006 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal following a courageous journey for a new kidney. Born in Toronto June 9th, 1928. Pre-deceased by his son Adam and his parents George and Mary ARCHER (née TROWELL.) Survived by his son John (Helene) of Westmount, Ann (Peter) of Ottawa and daughter-in-law Pamela of North Troy, Vermont and his brothers Edward Jack (Clanell) of Victoria, British Columbia, and Murray of Nevis, West Indies and sister Joan (David T.C. MOORE) of Toronto. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Oliver, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Jonathan, Amber and Colin as well as by his former wife Helen FOSTER (née TINGLEY) of Ottawa. George was educated in Toronto where he attended Trinity College and graduated from the Faculty of Law (1952) at the University of Toronto. Following graduation he served as a junior officer in the Royal Canadian Navy on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts and at Naval Headquarters. He entered the insurance industry in 1957 in Ottawa subsequently moving to Montreal. He ultimately formed his own insurance brokerage firm, Archer, Desormeau Inc. in 1976 and retired in 1998. He is past president of the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Montreal and the Shaugnessy Village Association. For many years he maintained a second home in the northern Vermont where he enjoyed a second career as 'chief groundskeeper' of the family property consisting of 100 acres of recreational land. This he was forced to give up due to kidney failure although it has remained in the family. In retirement he achieved two lifetime goals he sailed around the globe in cargo ships visiting all of the continents except Antarctica, and he took up painting in acrylics concentrating on ships of historical interest and Vermont landscapes. Several of his paintings are on display in maritime museums in Canada and abroad. Visitation will be held in Montreal on Friday July 14th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Québec tel. 514-279-6540. A funeral service will be held at the same location at 11 a.m. Sat. July 15th. Suddenly and peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre-Victoria Hospital, Jack Emerick TROYER passed away December 3rd, 2006 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Jess for 57 years. Loving father of Nancy (John) WAYNE of Saint Thomas and Bob (Liz) TROYER of Regina. Dear grandfather of Dylan (Nancy) ARN, Dane ARN and Tammy HORTON, Jonathan (Cheryl), Jessica and Andrew TROYER. Great-grandfather of Austin, Derek and Emily ARN. Brother-in-law of Isabel and David McNIECE of Aylmer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Passed away in Murrietta, California, December 3, 2006 in his 89th year. Loving father of Patricia (Lin) FARMER of Murrietta, California, and Victoria TROYON of Henderson, California. Grandfather of Michael (Kathryn) and Andrew FARMER. Sadly missed by his sister Mary HILBORN of London, Ontario. Predeceased by his wife Florence (THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON) and his parents John and Kathleen COLLISON. He served with honour in the 1st Hussars of London in World War 2, retiring with the rank of Major. On returning from overseas, he re-joined the family jewellery business on Richmond St. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service and burial will be held in London at a later date.

Passed away quietly on Monday, April 17, 2006 at Shepherd Lodge, at the age of 92. Wife of the late Morio IMADA and dear mother of Stan and the late Tom IMADA. Mother-in-law to Sachi and loving grandmother of Kim (Tim), Janine (Stephen), Marion (Glenn), Andrea, Shari (Greg) and great-grandmother of Keeley, Sarah, Mariel, Adam, Alex, Thomas and Kieran. Sister of Takumi MUROTA, Kay SHIMADA and Mickey TROZZO. The family would like to thank the staff of Shepherd Lodge and Meadowcroft Retirement Home for the attentive and excellent care provided. Cremation has taken place.
