Passed away in North Bay on Sunday, December 24, 2006, at the age of 92. Born in Toronto on October 29, 1914, son of Frank and Edith Ellen HUNNISETT (WILLIAMSON.) Husband of the late Evelyn James (NEILSON) and the late Norma Belle SOMMERVILLE to whom he was married for 50 years. Father of the late Stanley Frank HUNNISETT, M.Sc., Ph.D. of Thunder Bay and Norma Gail THOMSEN (Stefan) of North Bay. Grandfather of Peter Edward HUNNISETT, B.Sc. (Lindsay Tedds) of Winnipeg, Laura Kathleen GUENTHER, M.Sc. (Dan) of Toronto, Stefan Erik THOMSEN (Deborah) and Stefanie Annabel THOMSEN, B.Sc., M.Sc. (Forensics) of North Bay. Great-grandfather of Theodore Alister Hunnisett GUENTHER, Anna GUENTHER and Dania Kathryn THOMSEN. Attended St. Andrews College and University of Toronto Schools. An honour graduate of the University of Toronto, B.A. in Political Science and Economics 1936. Capt., Canadian Army World War 2. Founder and owner of H.S. Hunnisett Ltd. Retired 1972. After retirement, had six books published on Retirement Planning in Canada and the U.S.A. Past Chairman of Stewards and Trustee of Lawrence Park Community Church, treasurer of the Center for Christian Studies and of the Lake Joseph Community Church. A thirty-five year member of the Caledon Mountain Trout Club until 1997. Member of the Granite Club, Toronto. Stan had been living in North Bay from March, 1996 until his death. Funeral to take place at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in either July or August at the Lake Joseph Community Church alongside beautiful Lake Joseph - one of his favourite places to be. Loved grandfather of Robert, Richard, Debra and her husband Paul and Dawn. Dear great-grandfather of Trevor, Tyler, Matthew and Nathan and step-grandfather of Michael, Janet and family. Dear brother of Doctor Donald ANDERSON of Winnipeg, and the late Richard (W.W. II) and Leslie ANDERSON and the late Ruth MURDOCK. Dear brother-in-law of Bessie LANGDON of Saint Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Harold was born in Trossach, Saskatchewan on June 30, 1921, the son of the late Harry and Mildred (HEARD) ANDERSON. He was retired from Canadian Timken. He served overseas during World War 2 in England, Germany, France and Holland with the Elgin Regiment. Harold was a member of the Elgin Regiment Veterans Association. He was a life member of St. David's Lodge #302 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons He was an original member of the Homedale-Saint Mark's Church and was on the building committee for Saint Mark's United Church, where he also served as a Stewart. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Adored wife of Philip A.P. THORNBER and loving sister of Vera VALANTIC. A former Miss Czechoslovakia, Toronto 1961; English as a Second Language and Home Economics (Family Studies) Teacher, King Edward Public School, Toronto, 1962-1979; Director, Hillcrest Residents and Ratepayers Association; and President and Chief Executive Officer: The Mad Hamper, Irene Ashley Designs and Bijoux Bajan. Irene's design work has been showcased at the Royal Ontario Museum and Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and throughout the Caribbean, Australia, London and Italy. Irene's talented jewelry designs have perhaps graced more Toronto Ramp Shows than any other Canadian designer. Irene's work was selected by the Australian Fashion Council in the 1980's to accompany a world wide tour of Australian Designer Fashions. Irene's Toronto home became a local institution known for her elegant cocktail and dinner parties. Following a valiant, swift and difficult fight with Colorectal Cancer, Irene died in her 62nd year at her beloved lakefront home in Niagara-on-the-Lake with Philip at her side. Irene's life was celebrated privately by her immediate family. A former Miss Czechoslovakia, Toronto 1961; English as a Second Language and Home Economics (Family Studies) Teacher, King Edward Public School, Toronto, 1962-1979; Director, Hillcrest Residents and Ratepayers Association; and President and Chief Executive Officer: The Mad Hamper, Irene Ashley Designs and Bijoux Bajan. Irene's design work has been showcased at the Royal Ontario Museum and Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and throughout the Caribbean, Australia, London and Italy. Irene's talented jewelry designs have perhaps graced more Toronto Ramp Shows than any other Canadian designer. Irene's work was selected by the Australian Fashion Council in the 1980's to accompany a world wide tour of Australian Designer Fashions. Irene's Toronto home became a local institution known for her elegant cocktail and dinner parties. Following a valiant, swift and difficult fight with Colorectal Cancer, Irene died in her 62nd year at her beloved lakefront home in Niagara-on-the-Lake with Philip at her side. Irene's life was celebrated privately by her immediate family. Dearly loved husband of Daphne (THORNDYCRAFT) FERGUSON and loved father of Steven and his wife Sandra FERGUSON of Saint Thomas, Susan and her husband Dave BROWN of Saint Thomas, Sandra and her husband Bill LYNCH of Port Stanley, Sharon and her husband John CUMMINGS of Shedden and Shelley VANDENBROEK of Saint Thomas. Dear sister of Donna and her husband Hugh LYLE of Saint Thomas. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Chicago on February 25, 1927, the son of the late Charles and Rosannie (GLENN) FERGUSON. He resided in the Union, Port Stanley and Saint Thomas areas most of his life. Bill was a retired sales tax auditor with the Provincial Government. He was a member of Saint Mark's Lodge #94 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, Port Stanley, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. London Lodge of Perfection, London Chapter Rose Croix, Moore Sovereign Consistory, Hamilton 32nd degree, the Provost Corps. and was a Jester. He had played baseball, fastball and hockey and coached minor sports a number of years. Bill was a Past President of the Saint Thomas Curling Club, past member of the Saint Thomas Golf Club and the Belmont Golf Club. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined. Remembrances may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or charity of choice. A Memorial Masonic Service will be conducted at the funeral home by Officers and Members of the Saint Mark's Lodge #94 of Port Stanley on Wednesday evening at 6: 30 p.m.

Of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2006, at the age of 72 years. Bill will be lovingly remembered by: his sisters, Lois (Bob) BOGART, Mary (Bruce) VERG of Ontario; his special nephew Scott (Jackie) BOGART of Calgary; his dear friend Marie THORNE and family of Calgary as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his seven brothers: Delbert, David, John, Joe, Jim, Danny and Ken. Bill was a very approachable person who made Friends easily. GLASSER, Penelope Jane
Died June 9, 2006 at her home in Toronto, Ontario. Born on May 6, 1943 in Kitchener, Ontario to Frederick and Dorothy (née THORNE) GLASSER, Pen graduated from Eastwood Collegiate in Kitchener and the University of Waterloo, and later obtained her Master's degree from York University. She married Douglas L. MacPHERSON of Kitchener in 1965. In her early years, Pen was an accomplished singer/performer with leading roles in Gilbert and Sullivan productions throughout high school and university. Following a brief career as a secondary school teacher, Pen expressed her exceptional gifts through her art. She also wrote about the arts, and worked on film and video productions. Throughout much of her career, Pen was intensely interested in Native Canadian spirituality and art and studied with several shamans. She is survived by Doug MacPHERSON, Doug's sister Barbara BUTLER and her family, and Doug's brother Bruce MacPHERSON and his family. Loving and caring mother of Brian (wife Jennifer) of Ancaster, and Barry (wife Susan) of Sudbury. Beloved sister of Louisa REEVES, Joan GRIFFITHS and George HATTON (all predeceased.) Her compassion, wit and quiet determination will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Hilary and Nigel (Ancaster), Kimberley and Caitie (Sudbury).
