STEEVES,
Patricia
(SHERRILL) (1954-2005)
In loving memory of a wonderful wife, devoted mother and a special
grandma, who passed away November 18, 2005.
It was such sad news to hear, You'd only be here a short while.
But now, to the sun and the sky, Your beauty blends so well.
While we carried you through, We heard you whisper, "I'm scared…"
All we could do was just hold you. You'd close your eyes and
sigh, "The pain…I need more meds." There it was, through your
tube, Every hour, you were fed. Not knowing, it was your last
moments, Sitting at your bedside comforting you. Each breath
got weaker, taking your last, Thinking, "Not now, this isn't
true." You spread joy, love and happiness In a warm and caring
way… No gift will be more cherished, As you still inspire us
each and everyday. You created a "Family" Teaching us morals and
values like no other From this world to the "best" We love you,
see you again, Our "Angel" wife, mother and grandmother!"
Love your husband Gord, daughter Pamela (and Gabe), son Kenneth
(and Sissy), grandchildren Ryan, Zachary, Madison and family.

(Josh), Kim (Paul), Paul (Tara), Kirsti (Sam), and Andrew (Shannon),
and beloved Great-Grampa to Adam, Elizabeth, Great Pappa to Kylie
and Colby. He lived his life as an every day hero, making whatever
sacrifices needed to ensure his family had support and opportunity.
Paul served his country proudly as a member of the 22nd Armoured
Reconnaissance Division, in the South Alberta Regiment and never
complained or used his war wounds as an excuse for anything.
After his return from Normandy, with severely wounded legs, he
spent his working days on his feet working his way up to Plant
Superintendent at Acme Paper Products which eventually became
a division of Domtar. Neighbours' kids from Windsor Ave. (Victoria
Park to Blantyre) fondly remember the many walks Uncle Paul led
them on during the late 1940's and early 1950's. His grandchildren
remember the time with Grampa in the backyard at 23 Courcelette
Rd. and numerous adventures along the beach and the Boardwalk.
Although a quiet and reserved man, Paul demonstrated a keen sense
of humour and great loyalty for his family. He and his family
have appreciated the wonderful, caring staff in K-Wing who have
provided support and comfort for him during his 7 and a half
years in K2E. Paul developed great rapport and frequently teased
his Friends in K2E. Jeane, the love of his life, and his cherished
daughter, Cindy, have been waiting for Paul. P.J. will live on
