KLEIMAN,
Sylvia (née
FROHMAN)
After a protracted illness on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, Sylvia
KLEIMAN, wife, mother and grandmother extraordinaire, died at
her home, in her 87th year. Until felled by the ravages of disease
and dementia some 20 years ago, Sylvia was an expansive and dynamic
woman. A canteen singer in World War 2, she was generous and
genial, musical and funny. Humour finally eluded her, but music
comforted her to the end. Sylvia is survived by her devoted daughter
and son-in-law, Maureen and Lorne
SALTMAN, and her darling granddaughter,
Alex; her siblings, Barbara and Bernard
JESSEL, and Sydney and
Marie FROHMAN, and her brother-in-law Abe
KLEIMAN.
She was predeceased
by her parents, Freda and David
FROHMAN; her siblings, William
and Sylvia
FROHMAN, and her dedicated husband, James
KLEIMAN.
The family appreciates the loving and exemplary care of Aida
Malunao, who enriched her last 10 years. Services were held on
Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Roselawn Cemetery. Shiva will
be observed at Bradgate Arms, 54 Foxbar Road, Toronto, from Wednesday,
December 27 to Friday, December 29. Services will be held each
evening at 8 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made
