Bill was the beloved husband of Benedikta "Bennie" (UETZ- PRINZ.) He was the loving father of Fred (Joanne) of Calgary, Debbie (Wayne McDOUGAL) of Blyth, Gary (Lorraine) of Medicine Hat, Norman (Bev) of Angus, Richard "Dee" of Parry Sound, Kim (Mark VANMAELE) of Courtland, Karen of Novar, Billy Joe (Tammy) of Gravenhurst, Dana (Alisha) of Calgary and step-father of Sybil (Kevin COSTELLO) of Welland, Hans UETZ (Stacey) of North Bay and Robert UETZ (Carol) of Innisville. He was the proud grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Bill was the dear brother of Helen (Gerald HORLOR) of London, Mary (Gord WILLIAMS) of Grand Bend, Karen (Doug COURTNEY) of Grand Bend and was predeceased by sisters Ebba (the late Jack EXLEY), Greta GARNET, and Ella DENNCOTT (the late Gord). He was predeceased by his first wife Isabelle and is survived by his second wife Anne. He transferred to London, England Battle of Britain 1940-1942, and then was shipped overseas to India, Burma 1941-1945 and Demobed London, England in 1946. Andrew Jonathan PRINCE died on June 22, 2006 in hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a heroic battle with a lengthy illness. Andrew is survived by his parents Teri (STROSBERG) PRINCE and Gus (PRISTUPA) PRINCE, his brother Stephen Alexander PRINCE, his grandmother Sylvia STROSBERG, his aunts and uncles, Susan EANSOR (New York and Charlotte), Harvey and Cathy STROSBERG (Windsor) and Marg and John STEWARD/STEWART/STUART (Toronto,) and his cousins, Elaine STROSBERG, Sharon STROSBERG, Jay STROSBERG, David STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, Heather STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, Marni LYONS, Franklin LYONS, Howard BARR, David ROBINS, Jordana STROSBERG and Josh HALIBURTON. He was predeceased by his grandparents Gus and Mary PRISTUPA, and his grandfather Philip STROSBERG. Andrew was loved and admired throughout his very short life. Andrew was born in Toronto on June 4, 1983. He attended the York School until moving to North Carolina in 1996. A 2001 graduate of Union Pines High School, Andrew majored in mathematics at the University of North Carolina. He was awarded numerous scholarships and honors including the Discover Card Gold Tribute Award. Andrew spent the last two years of his life courageously enduring his illness while still pursuing his special interests in music, cinema, science, aviation and travel. He was the ultimate Renaissance man. We will miss him forever. Moncton, New Brunswick - Bernie passed away peacefully December 17, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer, two weeks shy of his 78th birthday. He faced this difficult challenge with strength and determination which were inspirational to all. He was surrounded by love throughout his illness and during his final days. He was predeceased by his adoring wife Gene (FLEMING/FLEMMING) in 1991. Bernie was one of ten children born to the late Jack and Beatrice (COULTER) McKINNON. Predeceased by five brothers Karl, Frances, Gerald, Donald and James. He is survived by one brother Albro of Moncton and three sisters Marion, Gertrude and Muriel all of Dartmouth. Bernie will be remembered fondly by his six grandchildren Danny, Dylan, Lana, William, Matthew, and Jacob and his adorable great-grand children Trisden and Isabelle. Bernie enjoyed his career of 40 years with The Canadian National Railway retiring in 1989. He was a master telegrapher and respected train dispatcher throughout the Maritime Provinces and Ontario. The family extends a Heartfelt "Thank You" to the Doctors and Nurses of The Moncton City Hospital and George L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick. Born in Oxford, England December 28, 1925, he was predeceased by his parents Christopher QUARTERMAN and Elizabeth Sarah née BULBECK, and wives Hilda HOLLEBON and Elizabeth BUSK. Survived by his wife Marilyn PRITCHARD, son John (Kelly) of Kanata, and daughters Susan (Arjan VAN ASSELT) and Ann (Keith ROBINE) of Rossland, British Columbia. David's grandchildren Sarah, Nadia, Sage, Natasha and Ryan all inherited grandpa's love of the outdoors, skiing and sailing. Cremation to be followed by private dedication later. Surrounded by the love of her family and Friends, Hilde died at her home in Kitchener, on Thursday, June 29, 2006. Beloved wife of John ENGLISH. Loving and devoted mother of Jonathan. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Barbara ABT of Kitchener, sister-in-law, Linda ABT of Dundas and father-in-law, Jack ENGLISH of Waterloo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins in Canada and Germany. Her father Josef and her brother Joseph predeceased her in 2005. Hilde was born in Chemnitz, Germany on February 27, 1945 and emigrated to Canada in August 1953 where they settled in Kitchener. Hilde attended Saint Mary's and Eastwood high schools, the University of Waterloo, and the University of Western Ontario Law School where she graduated on the Dean's Honours List. She practised law in Waterloo from 1976 to 2006 and was Counsel for Sutherland Mark. Hilde was active in her community and her profession. She has served on several boards including the Kitchener-Waterloo Community Foundation, C.O.D.A., the Canadian Clay and Glass Museum, the Waterloo and later Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, the University of Waterloo Board of Governors, and the Grand River Conservation Foundation. She also served on the board of the Advocate's Society, the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario), Opera Ontario, and was the founding chair of the Ontario Liberal Party Women's Commission. She was named Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Woman of the Year in 1999 and received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002, and the Tim Fitzpatrick Community Service Award in 2005. During her long battle, Hilde's many Friends baked and cooked for her and her family, and drove her to many medical appointments. She had a gift for Friendship, which was returned in abundance. The family would like to thank all of these Friends and especially Angela GRANIC, who was always there when needed for 13 years, Kathie FAHEL, volunteer nurses Marg STRONG and Nancy TELEGDI, Nat and Hajo HELTKE and the CarePartner staff who allowed Hilde to die in peace at home surrounded by her treasured garden. Special thanks to the superb medical care from Sunnybrook and, especially, Doctors Kathleen PRITCHARD and J-P PIGNOL. and, in Waterloo, Doctor Janet ZETTEL. The family regrets to announce the passing of E. Leslie MILLER at the Trillium Specialty Care Centre, Kingston, Ontario, in his 95th year, peacefully, of old age, and after a final decline in strength. On 29 October 1941 he married Dorothy Matilda PRITCHARD, teacher, of Wyman, Québec, in Georgetown, British Guiana (now Guyana.) The MILLERs have a daughter, Dorothy Ann (MILLER) MARTIN, B.A. (Louis,) three granddaughters, Lucie (MARTIN) KILGER, M.D. (Ryan,) Suzanne (MARTIN) GRUDZIEN, M.Sc. (Simon) and Catherine (MARTIN) KOLETAR, D.C. (David,) and two great-grandchildren Reed and Brynn KILGER. Leslie MILLER pursued a distinguished career in Civil Engineering. He supervised construction of hydro-electric dams and plants in Quebec, Pakistan, Brazil and British Columbia bauxite mining and aluminum smelting operations in Guyana, Jamaica, Guinea, Brazil, India and Ireland; and rolling mills in Argentina and in Oswego, New York. Mr. MILLER was a keen golfer and was a member of the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club. He was also interested in many sports, and was an avid reader and traveller, interested in world affairs, as well as a family man. In keeping with Leslie's wishes, cremation will be followed by a Memorial Reception in the James Reid Funeral Home, Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, rear entrance) on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. A celebration of Leslie's life will be held during the reception at 3 p.m., Reverend Canon Michael CASWELL officiating. Norman KELLY died peacefully at home to join his beloved wife, Helen, of 60 years in the fourth mansion on the right just inside the Pearly Gates. Norm served both his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2, and his community as a family doctor.
