Billie grew up in Toronto,
attending Riverdale Collegiate and Victoria College where she
received her B.A. in 1938. She and Glenn were married on June 7,
1941. Upon Glenn's return from his service in the Royal Canadian
Air Force, they resided in Toronto before moving to Unionville
in 1954, and later to Goderich in 1999. Billie's legacy will
be her gentle patience and good nature, her generous and loving
spirit, and her empathy for others, both personally and in her
professional life as a Manpower Counsellor for the Federal Government.
She worked selflessly for her family and provided great strength
and guidance to those she loved. She will be truly missed. A memorial
service for Billie and Glenn is planned for Sunday, July 30 at
3 p.m. at their daughter's home in Goderich. As expressions of
sympathy, donations to Sleeping Children Around the World, 28 Pinehurst
Crescent, Toronto, Ontario M9A 3A5 would be appreciated by the
family.

years; a school bus driver for twenty-three years; Chatsworth
Village community Santa Clause for twenty-five; original Chatsworth
Santa Clause parade organizer for thirty years, a coach for girls
baseball; coached girls hockey; a baseball umpire; drove hockey
and baseball teams and did her Famous Rita MacNeil impersonations
for eleven years. Millie will be remembered as a true lady that
loved her family, had a great strength of character and a generous
community spirit. May her memory and her tremendous example live
on in the faces of her family and in the hearts of her many Friends.

to thank the medical staff at Norfolk-Haldimand Hospital for
their care and kindness. At his request there will be no funeral
service for Bill and he will be cremated.

DUCKET was born December 10, 1929 at his parents
family farm near Eugenia. He was raised on the farm with his
five sisters.
After schooling in Eugenia and marriage to Audrey
PENNER they
purchased their first farm near the water towers at the top of
the valley. Later, they moved to the farm at the corner of County
Roads 13 and
4. It was there that they raised their three children
Ruth, Debbie and John and later the family grew with the grandchildren
Katherine, Kyle, Jeremy, Jessica, Justin, Jason and Ryan.
Over the years Fred not only farmed but was employed by the Kimberley
Co-op as a cream truck driver. He also was a councilor for the
Township of Artemesia in the early 1970's. After retirement from
the farm in 1983 he moved into the village of Eugenia and continued
his interests in attending auction sales and euchre card parties.
Although Audrey moved to Markdale Fred continued to live in Eugenia
until taking up residence at Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury
due to failing Health. He passed away on Sunday, November 12,

Alma
Alma PENNY passed gently from this world after an arduous illness
on Wednesday, May 17th 2006 at Allendale Long Term Care Facility
surrounded by her children. Alma was born in Great Harwood, Great
Britain on June 24th, 1920. Immigrating to Canada in 1954 she
settled in Scarborough with her husband and family. Alma was
an active member of the Centenary Hospital Auxiliary volunteering
in the Hospital Gift Shop for many years. After moving to Milton,
she became a member of the Milton Seniors Activity Centre and
chaired and organized the popular Milton Seniors "Lunch Brunch".
She also knit and purled her way into Creative Fingers Craft
Club, God bless'um. Alma was predeceased by her husband Joe.
She is survived by her son Tony and his wife Sandra, son Michael
and his wife Karen and daughter Barbara and her husband Laird.
She will be loved and fondly remembered by her grandchildren
Jonathon, Craig and his wife Andrea, David and Lesley, Aaron,
Brett, Jay and his wife Joanne, Jana and six great grandchildren.
Alma will be remembered with joy by her cousin and confidant
