Passed away peacefully at Maitland Manor, Goderich, Ontario. Beloved husband for 65 years of Billie (née Isabelle LAMBERT.) Dearly loved father of Peter and Linda LEGRICE, David and Sally WALKER, and Terry and Christine LEGRICE. Cherished Papa of Michael, Lauryn, Taylor, Chris and Teara, Melissa and Micah, Joanna, Niels, Daniel and Jake. Proud Great-Grandpa of Max and the late Sophia. Fondly remembered by Madge LEGRICE and Ev and Pennie PENMAN. Glenn served his country as an Royal Canadian Air Force navigator and leader of his young squadron, who collectively held him in the highest esteem. He returned to his home in Toronto before moving to Unionville in 1954, and later to Goderich in 1999. His legacy will be his wonderful stories and sense of humour, his courage and determination, his integrity and concern for others, and his love and loyalty to his family, especially to his darling Billie. A memorial service is planned for July. Passed away peacefully at Maitland Manor, Goderich, Ontario six weeks after the death of Glenn, her beloved husband of 65 years. Dearly loved mother of Peter and Linda LE GRICE, David and Sally WALKER, and Terry and Christine LE GRICE. Cherished Nana of Michael, Lauryn, Taylor, Chris and Teara, Melissa and Micah, Joanna, Niels, Daniel and Jake. Proud Great-Grandma of Max and the late Sophia. Dear cousin of Ann GUTHRIE. Fondly remembered by Madge LEGRICE, Ev and Pennie PENMAN, and Helen PINCHIN. Billie grew up in Toronto, attending Riverdale Collegiate and Victoria College where she received her B.A. in 1938. She and Glenn were married on June 7, 1941. Upon Glenn's return from his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force, they resided in Toronto before moving to Unionville in 1954, and later to Goderich in 1999. Billie's legacy will be her gentle patience and good nature, her generous and loving spirit, and her empathy for others, both personally and in her professional life as a Manpower Counsellor for the Federal Government. She worked selflessly for her family and provided great strength and guidance to those she loved. She will be truly missed. A memorial service for Billie and Glenn is planned for Sunday, July 30 at 3 p.m. at their daughter's home in Goderich. SANDRIN, Mildred May “Millie” (née WINFIELD)
Millie passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, April 10th, 2006 in her 67th year. The former Millie WINFIELD was the beloved wife of the late Walter SANDRIN. She was the loving and devoted mother of Laurie and her husband Gord STILLER, Sharon and her husband Jim STIRLING, and Donna SANDRIN and her partner John ENGLISH. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Sarah, Jamie, Nicole, Melissa, Tyler, Christopher and Samantha. She was a sister to Barbara and her husband Ian PENN, Lorna ZETTLER, and Stan ORTON and his wife Doris. Predeceased by her parents Reg and Sarah WINFIELD. Millie has lived in Chatsworth for thirty-four years; Chatsworth Village Councillor for twenty-three years and served as Reeve for seven years; she served as on Grey County Council for seven years Br. 464 Chatsworth Legion Ladies Aux. member for thirty-three years; a school bus driver for twenty-three years; Chatsworth Village community Santa Clause for twenty-five; original Chatsworth Santa Clause parade organizer for thirty years, a coach for girls baseball; coached girls hockey; a baseball umpire; drove hockey and baseball teams and did her Famous Rita MacNeil impersonations for eleven years. Millie will be remembered as a true lady that loved her family, had a great strength of character and a generous community spirit. May her memory and her tremendous example live on in the faces of her family and in the hearts of her many Friends. She will be especially missed by her immediate family, Tom FINKELSTEIN and his wife Pamela MADALENA of Comox, British Columbia, Sue and Bernie PUCKER of Boston, Massachusetts, Roselle ABRAMOWITZ of Stowe, Vermont and Harvey LEVINE and his partner Louise Trudel of Montreal. Died on Saturday, January 28, 2006, in Simcoe, Ontario, after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys, his parents Harry and Annie POPOWITCH, his sisters Anne THIBODEAU and Mary MASSICOTTE, and his brother Peter. Bill is lovingly remembered by his daughter Dianne MICHALS (Barry;) stepdaughter Penelope PAW (Ralph;) grand_sons Steven (Lisa,) Brian (Ally) great grand_son Brett; brother John (Shirley); sister-in-law Edie nieces Janet and Catherine; nephew Gary. He will be sadly missed by his caring friend Dee PENNELL and many others. Bill was a World War 2 veteran, an amputee who served and was wounded in Europe. He was a retiree of Canadian Arsenals, and a long-time resident of Etobicoke-Lakeshore. He enjoyed golf until his recent illnesses but remained an avid hockey fan. The Family wishes to thank the medical staff at Norfolk-Haldimand Hospital for their care and kindness. At his request there will be no funeral service for Bill and he will be cremated.

DUCKET, Frederick William
Frederick William DUCKET was born December 10, 1929 at his parents family farm near Eugenia. He was raised on the farm with his five sisters.
After schooling in Eugenia and marriage to Audrey PENNER they purchased their first farm near the water towers at the top of the valley. Later, they moved to the farm at the corner of County Roads 13 and 4. It was there that they raised their three children Ruth, Debbie and John and later the family grew with the grandchildren Katherine, Kyle, Jeremy, Jessica, Justin, Jason and Ryan.
Over the years Fred not only farmed but was employed by the Kimberley Co-op as a cream truck driver. He also was a councilor for the Township of Artemesia in the early 1970's. After retirement from the farm in 1983 he moved into the village of Eugenia and continued his interests in attending auction sales and euchre card parties.
Although Audrey moved to Markdale Fred continued to live in Eugenia until taking up residence at Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury due to failing Health. He passed away on Sunday, November 12, He is survived by his children Ruth (Dave) TEETER, Debbie (Jason) GRAY/GREY, John (Bernadette) DUCKETT, his seven grandchildren and sisters Leone BETTS, Mabel (Carman) SEWELL, Selenia HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON, Shirley WARD and the late Gladys ROSS.
Funeral Services were held at the Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Wednesday, November 15 at 11: 00 a.m. Rev. Donna MANN from the Eugenia United Church officiated. After the interment at Salem Cemetery near the 8th Line a lunch was served. by the members of the Eugenia United Church.
Pallbearers were Dale COLLINS, Bruce DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS, Brent HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON, Dave TEETER, Jason GRAY/GREY and Rob FAWCETT.

He was predeceased almost six years ago by the love of his life, Patricia (PENNINGTON,) and he now leaves their four children Dana (Cathy) WILLIAMS, Elizabeth (Randy) SCHNIER, Hugh▼ (Ruth▼) WILLIAMS, and Jennifer (Fabrizio) PATELLI. Grandad▼ also leaves 11 grandchildren; Caitlin, Drew, Libby; Bryn, Sarah, Evan, Allison; Jessica, Erika; Noah and Julia. Murray is also survived by one brother, Tom (Sue). Murray was a generous and devoted husband, a lover of literature, good music and fine wine, and was someone who loved to laugh with Friends. Always a Montrealer at heart, with a B.A. from McGill University, he traveled with his family from Toronto to Montreal, London and back to Toronto. He lived for three years at the Beechwood in Mississauga before recently moving to Brampton Woods for nursing care. Goodbye Dad, and God-speed. PENNY, Alma
Alma PENNY passed gently from this world after an arduous illness on Wednesday, May 17th 2006 at Allendale Long Term Care Facility surrounded by her children. Alma was born in Great Harwood, Great Britain on June 24th, 1920. Immigrating to Canada in 1954 she settled in Scarborough with her husband and family. Alma was an active member of the Centenary Hospital Auxiliary volunteering in the Hospital Gift Shop for many years. After moving to Milton, she became a member of the Milton Seniors Activity Centre and chaired and organized the popular Milton Seniors "Lunch Brunch". She also knit and purled her way into Creative Fingers Craft Club, God bless'um. Alma was predeceased by her husband Joe. She is survived by her son Tony and his wife Sandra, son Michael and his wife Karen and daughter Barbara and her husband Laird. She will be loved and fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jonathon, Craig and his wife Andrea, David and Lesley, Aaron, Brett, Jay and his wife Joanne, Jana and six great grandchildren. Alma will be remembered with joy by her cousin and confidant Allan HOLDEN and nieces Tessie SMITH and Marion SPEAK and their families in Great Britain. Born August 20, 1957. Lost her battle with lung cancer, on April 4, 2006. Left heartbroken by her passing are her husband Michael and their 3 dogs and 1 cat, and Michael's family, the Penny family, and all the people lucky enough to have known her or been her friend. A Service will be held at the Salvation Army, West Hill Citadel, 305 Morrish Rd., Scarborough, on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 3 p.m. Donations to Lung Cancer Canada in lieu of flowers please. The best way to describe Debbie was that she was like a ray of sunshine in the first glorious days of spring. She was a puppy's tongue upon your face. She was that gentle breeze upon your skin.
