PALOHEIMO, Jyri Erkki
Professor Emeritus University Of Toronto
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Jyri Erkki PALOHEIMO on March 29th, 2006. After a long struggle with cancer, he passed away peacefully surrounded by family and Friends at his home. Doctor PALOHEIMO was born in Kuhmo, Finland on June 7, 1932 to Sirkka and Major Erik PALOHEIMO. After completing his undergraduate degree in Abstract Mathematics at the University of Helsinki in 1953, he immigrated to Canada.
