Peacefully at home on Thursday, September 14th, 2006, Annamaria SILVESTRO in her 79th year passed away. Loving wife of the late Vincenzo (1976.) Dear mother of Lucia (Tom) HART, Bob (Pauline) SILVESTRO, Anthony SILVESTRO, Vincenzo (Dina) SILVESTRO and Lori SILVESTRO. Adored by her grandchildren; Cassandra, Bryan, Patrick, Lauren, Lisa and Danny. Predeceased by her sister Antonietta and brother-in-law Tommaso NICOLETTI. Dear aunt of Guy (Lynne) and Marc NICOLETTI; Ida (John) and Nicole, Andrea and Danielle MORLEY; Anthony (Susan) THOMAS and Sonja NICOLETTI; Concetta, Paola and Dora NICOLETTI; Germana (Vinicio) MICCOLI. She will be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. The family will receive Friends at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, September 17th between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers begin at 3 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 18th with Fr. It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Blanca Inocencia (née LLANES) NICOLETTI, in the arms of her beloved daughter, on December 3, 2006 at Parkwood Hospital in her 73rd year. Daughter of the late Isaias and Agueda. Wife of the late Giovanni NICOLETTI. Loving mother of Blanca Maria Llanes MARMOLEJO. Dear sister of Isaias, Pedro (deceased), Maria, José, Carlos, and Norma. Survived by other family members in Uruguay, Spain, Italy and Canada. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Blanca was a trained nurse and proud Canadian. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour and her unconditional love for family and Friends. Special thanks to the staff of Medicine 5th floor Victoria Hospital and staff at 3A East at Parkwood Hospital for exceptional support, care and kindness. Peacefully at Caressant Care, Woodstock on Thursday July 6, 2006. Hazel Leolla EDGEWORTH formerly of Norwich in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles EDGEWORTH. Dear mother-in-law to Hilda EDGEWORTH of R.R.#3 Norwich. She will be missed by her grandchildren Shellie NICOLL and husband Terry of Norwich, Michael of Burlington, Jeff and wife Sherry of Norwich, Sam and wife Patricia of Woodstock. She will also be missed by her great grandchildren Melanie HILL, Brittanie NICOLL, Matthew EDGEWORTH, Ryan and Whitney EDGEWORTH, Ethan and Aiden EDGEWORTH. Sister-in-law to Betty PENNY of Ingersoll. Suddenly on February 15, 2006 at the Gimli Community Health Center, Dennis NICOLLS, aged 73 years, of Camp Morton, Manitoba, beloved husband of Verna and father of Carol and Douglas (Molly). Dennis lived in Toronto for 15 years and was a Senior V.P. of Reed Stenhouse, now AON. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 20th in Gimli, Manitoba. SAWCHUK, Taras Michael
With love and sadness, his family records his passing, in the very early morning of Thursday, February 9, 2006, at Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentian Site, Sudbury, Ontario, from complications due to Parkinson's disease. Taras was born in Britannia Beach, British Columbia, July 18, 1926, to Ukrainian immigrant parents, Mitchal and Sophie (née DEMKIW.) The young family moved to Sudbury in the early 1930s. He attended Sudbury High School and continued his education in architectural design at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Toronto. In Toronto he also met his wife, Sonia (nee NICOLOFF,) and they returned to raise their three children in Sudbury where he initially pursued a career in architecture. In the 1960s he designed Chelmsford Valley District Composite School and went on to become a dedicated and much-loved teacher in the same school in the 1960s through to his retirement late 1980s. He returned to British Columbia in the 1990s, for love. He was an enthusiastic Vancouver folk orchestra member. He created regular opportunities for travel with family members and close Friends, to share his love of music, theatre and visual arts. He was a watercolour artist. He loved the Canadian outdoors and was an avid cross-country skier and tennis player. He moved once more to Sudbury in 2001 where, in spite of failing health, he is remembered by those who assisted him as a gentle, considerate man, who retained his exceptional social graces (and love of dancing) to the end. If desired, a donation to a humanitarian cause of your choice is an appropriate remembrance of his strong convictions and activism in that regard. Taras was also a life-long member of the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians and a founding member of the Sudbury Jubilee Folk Ensemble. He is survived by his loving partner, Margot THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON; his son, Jim; two daughters, Sonia and Taressa; three grandchildren, Justin, Mikaila and Wave his brother, Oryst; and nephew, Sergei. Shortly before his death, Taras learned he would be a great-grandfather. Alexander Tarino SAWCHUK is expected in March. Friends and family will be received at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Ontario, P3B 1M2, 1-800-461-0159), on Sunday, February 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life is planned for the spring in Sudbury. Ash interment is also planned for the spring.

ZINK, James Bernard " Dutchy"
After an inspiring 25 year battle with diabetes our family sadly announces the loss of our wonderful father James Bernard "Dutchy" ZINK on December 27, 2006. Born August 13, 1931 he lived a full life with ten siblings near the shores of his much loved St. Clair River in Corunna. son of the late Hazel and Capt. Bernard ZINK. He spent his early working life with his father sailing the Great Lakes and retired as the owner of Marcy Printing Co. He loved his community and quietly contributed to the needs of as many as he could. He leaves behind his daughters Tracy, her husband Ken, Sandy, her husband Pic, sons Kelly and Andy. "Papa Jim" entertained and treasured his grandchildren Dane and Jade NICOLSON and Keegan and Griffin TULLOCH. He is survived by his siblings Dorothy, Patricia, Connie, John and several nieces and nephews. He joins his bride Jacqueline LATOUR in heaven after twelve years on his own. His family, Friends (especially Donna, Eli, Joe and Lois) and neighoburs will miss his antics, sense of adventure and his daily need to make everyone laugh. In keeping with his giving philosophy he has bequeathed his remains to the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Western Ontario. A Mass of Celebration will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Saint_Joseph's Catholic Church, Corunna. He has finally slid into homeplate…. scraped, bruised and a bit battered but with a great big grin… just the way he wanted. Domenico passed away with his family by his side on April 6th, 2006 at the age of 71. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Barbara and will be cherished by his dear children Victoria (Tony REINO,) Caterina (John NICOLUCCI,) and Tonetta (Robert DEBARTOLO.) Proud grandfather of Bianca, Dante, Adam, Adrian, Daniel, Olivia, and Domenique. He is reunited in heaven with his brother Giuseppe and will always be remembered by his brothers and sisters Concetta, Agostino, Teresa, Antonietta, Vincenzo, and Gerardo. Also missed by his brother-in-law Vincenzo and sisters-in-law Giovanna and Grazia. He will be held dear in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many Friends.
