Suddenly at the St. Catharines General Hospital early Tuesday morning. Ernest Stanfield McLELLAND in his 91st year with his wife and eldest son by his side. Ernie, as he liked to be called, was born in Garafraxa Township in the County of Wellington; near Arthur, Ontario on February 16, 1916. Ernie was the last surviving member of his family of 6 boys and 3 girls. son of Fred and Ellen (RITCHIE) McLELLAND, brother to Lloyd, Norman, Elmer, Harold, Clifford, Gladys SHAW, Ethel▼ MOUNTFORD and Agnes BANNISTER. Ernie is survived by his loving wife Mildred▼ (STICKNEY) of almost 60 years and sons Leonard (Amelia) of St. Catharines, Edwin (Alyson) of Whitby. Loving remembered by his grandchildren Kyla, Kegan and Lesley. Ernie enjoyed shuffleboard and lawnbowling. After Ernie's retirement, he joined the Dunlop Drive Seniors Association where for 10 years he organized and enjoyed playing and teaching members the art of shuffleboard. During the summer months he was an avid lawnbowler as a member of the Arthur Lawn Bowling Club and later a member of the Elora Bowling Club. Ernie's profession as an elementary school teacher spanned 41 years, starting in a country school with 8 grades near Arthur. He taught in Streetsville, Falconbridge and in 1943 began his years of teaching in St. Chatharines, first at Fairview School, 7th Street Louth, Grapeview School and retired from Ferndale School in 1977. The family will receive Friends at The Hulse and English Funeral Home and Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, on Thursday March 9, 2006 from 2-5 p.m. Ernie's Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Arthur, Ontario on Friday March 10, 2006 at 2 p.m. with visiting one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Interment at a later date in Greenfield Cemetery in Arthur, Ontario

Beloved husband of Marion (SITTER) MOUSSEAU and predeceased by his first wife Dorothy (ARMSTRONG) MOUSSEAU (1990.) Dear father of Cheryl CROWDER and her husband Donald of Milton and predeceased by his son Eric MOUSSEAU (1966.) Loved grandfather of Corey CROWDER. Brother of Lloyd and Gloria MOUSSEAU of Hensall, Donald and Shirley MOUSSEAU of R.R.#2 Hensall, Irene OESCH of Clinton, and Jean and Bob ELLIOT/ELLIOTT of Tavistock. Peacefully, on March 19th, 2006, at her residence at Chateau Gardens, London, Ann joined her beloved husband of 71 years, Ira Elbert JONES, who predeceased her on January 3rd, 2006. Annie Angus McEWAN was born to Charles Baskerville McEWAN and Mary Lachlan ANGUS on November 23rd, 1915, in Dundas, Ontario. Her Scots heritage on both sides of her house was a continuing source of pride to her that is shared by her children. Ann was the eldest of four siblings. Two have predeceased her: Marjorie (Donald) POWERS and Gordon McEWAN, both of London, Ontario. One surviving brother, John (Jack) McEWAN, lives in Vernon, British Columbia. Ira and Ann were married on June 1st, 1934 at the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in Chatham, Ontario. Ann and Ira's six children remember her with great love and pride: Ira Gordon (Pat) JONES, Waterloo, Ontario; Elbert Angus (Zibby) JONES, Bayfield, Ontario; Marjorie Ann CUNNINGHAM, London, Ontario; Dorothy Louise (Luca) RICCIO, North Vancouver, British Columbia; Douglas Murray JONES, London, Ontario and Janet Mary (Helmut RIEGGER) JONES, London, Ontario. Gifted with a prodigious memory well into her eighties, Ann continued to acknowledge family anniversaries, birthdays, graduations and other milestones. Great Grannie Annie particularly enjoyed marking special events for the youngest ones, sending cards for Easter, Hallowe'en to her seven great grandchildren: Julia KINGSTON of Ottawa; Selena JONES and Colin JONES of Mississauga; Sean Ira JONES, Yasu City, Shiga, Japan; Leah JONES of Calgary; and Clara Ann GOODALL and Cameron McEwan GOODALL of Toronto. Ann and Ira resided at various times in a number of Southwestern Ontario locations: Chatham, Dresden, Hamilton, Dundas, Walkerton, Brantford and London. Prior to moving to the Longworth Retirement Residence in 2003, they lived for many years on Glenrose Drive in Byron. In 2004, she and Ira moved together to Chateau Gardens Long Term Care Residence in London. Ann was a member of the Woodfield Branch of the Community of Christ, in London. We remember the continuing pride and admiration in which she was held by Ira, for the courage she displayed during World War 2, when she held their family together, a dedicated mother to their children, managing all the while to be cheerful and resourceful, despite her concerns for Ira's safety overseas. Most of all, we will remember a cheerful, generous, selfless woman who spent a lifetime putting others first. We love her and we are sad to see her go but we take solace in the knowledge that Mom and Dad are together again, the way it has always been and the way they would want it to be forever. Cremation has taken place. Mathématicien. On July 21st 2006, surrounded by peers, Professor Maurice L'ABBÉ died peacefully at the age of 86. Mathematic Doctor at the University of Princeton, he retired from the University of Montreal where he for thirty- five years. He will be missed by his wife France Mignault L'ABBÉ, his children Guillaume, Dominique (Martin FERLAND,) Bertrand (Dominique MOUSSEAU,) Geneviève (Grant McKENNA) and his grandchildren Zacharie, Léo and Gaby, Carlita and Mikelli, and also his brother Robert and his sisters Fernande Bernier and Pauline L'ABBÉ- JONES. Resting at Alfred Dallaire Memoria in Outremont, 1111, ave. Laurier West (Valet parking) on Tuesday the 25th of July, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Wednesday the 26th of July, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on the 27th of July from 10 a.m. Tribute from his family will be held at 10: 30 a.m. The cortege will leave for the Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges cemetery.

It is with great love and the deepest sorrow that our family announces the passing of Kenneth H. THACKER at Saint Michael's Hospital on Friday, December 8, 2006 at the age of 68. Dearly loved husband of Elizabeth, loving father of Roy, Sharon and her husband Keith REID, Geoffrey and his wife Patricia, Carol-Anne and her husband Christian MOUTINHO and niece Marianna.
