Andres MOLDONADO was walking in the middle of Highway 27 at the wrong time when the first car clipped him early yesterday.
The crossing light at Humber College Blvd. was still red when he tumbled into the curb lane and was run over by a second car heading north.
The second car drove off as the 19-year-old Brampton man died in the street.
Det. Wally WATTS of Toronto Police traffic services said the driver of the first car remained at the scene, but the second driving what may be a beige or gold Pontiac Grand Am -- paused only briefly, as if the driver knew he or she had hit something or someone. The car sped off as passersby tended to MOLDONADO.
Both cars had the green light in the intersection when the accident occurred and MOLDONADO was crossing against a red light, witnesses: told police.
It was one of two hit-and-run accidents early yesterday that had police hunting motorists who failed to help their victims.
A woman suffered serious injuries when struck while walking on Adelaide St. W. near York St. at about 2: 30 a.m., police said. She was expected to survive.
WATTS said the driver who fled the fatal accident should "do the right thing" and surrender to police.
Sgt. Larry ZIMMERMAN agreed.
"We're pulling out all the stops to find this driver," ZIMMERMAN said.
"My advice would be that he get a lawyer and turn himself in, because sooner or later we're going to come and get him."

Fatal Collision
Karen MOLE, age 41 of Owen Sound has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act as a result of a three-vehicle collision that claimed the life of Anthonius BULSINK's, age 27 of Woodford. Ms MOLE's westbound 2000 Dodge van struck the rear of BULSINK's westbound 1992 Ford Coupe and forced it to the eastbound lane of traffic. An eastbound 1998 Dodge pickup driven by Marcel FONTAINE, age 41 of Burgoyne struck the BULSINK vehicle sending both of them rolling into the south ditch.
Mr. BULSINK died as a result of his injuries. Passengers in the FONTAINE pickup truck, Mona Mary BURTON age 52 and Lisa FONTAINE both of Burgoyne were sent to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries. An Ontario Provincial Police technical collision investigative team had traffic re-routed on 26 highway for several hours.

Armando was born in Italy on September 14, 1941, the son of the late Amandio and Vera MOLINARO. He came to Canada in 1963 and worked at the Ford Motor Company, Talbotville, (retiring in 2000). He was a member of Holy Angels' Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dear brother-in-law of Yvonne KARN of California and Robert "Bob" and Priscilla DOWLER of Littlewood. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Jack was born in Dunnville on January 11, 1931. He owned and operated Dowler-Karn Ltd. since 1953. Jack was a past President of the Esso Agents Association, a charter member of the Ontario Propane Association, and a member of the Propane Advisory Council with the T.S.S.A. He was the owner and Charter President of the Looney Lake Lodge on Lake Timiskaming where he spent many happy times with his family and his Friends. He was a member of Talbot Lodge #546 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons He was a member of Hi-Ro Shrine Club, the Directors Staff of Mocha Temple and the Jesters Court #56. Jack will continue to live on through his grandchildren, who inherited his wisdom, love and strong sense of family. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Tuesday afternoon and then to First United Church, St. George Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Passed away very peacefully in her sleep in her 91st year in Guelph, Ontario. A long time member of St. Andrew's Church and a dedicated alto in the choir, Trudy was known for her devotion to her family and Friends and for her loving care of those she nursed during many years of private duty and later as Health Nurse at the Guelph General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband George, sister Mildred, and brothers Stanley and Grant, she will be missed by her children Anne Louise McKENZIE and partner Ron MERTENS of Belwood, Mary Ellen JEANS- MOLINE and husband Mel of Stony Plain, Alberta, and son Alexander George (Sandy) of Guelph. She is also survived by grandchildren Christina MAHAFFEY of New York, and Kathy Jeans POON and David JEANS of Edmonton, and great-grandchildren Tai and Mihn POON. Anne, Mary and Sandy especially wish to offer heartfelt thanks to Rozina and all the staff at Norfolk Manor who cared so lovingly for Trudy during her stay there during the past four years. Predeceased by his first wife Winnifred and his second wife Glendyne. Ernie was a great contributor to humanity and had a special love for seniors. It was during his fight with leukemia that his artwork flourished. He was prolific in his final years building a significant body of work displayed at numerous shows and exhibitions. John's proudest moment came with the birth of his beloved son Nikosis. All who were blessed to have known him will miss John Henry and his kind and gentle spirit, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever. Ed passed away on January 22nd, 2006 at Southlake Regional Hospital. He will be missed by his family Ed (Ivy), Jim (Jennifer), Tim aka Chip (Raelynn), Bryn (Teresa) and Chris (Terri) and his grandchildren Jennifer, Erin, Brendan, Dakota and Rowan. Ed grew up in South Dorset, Vermont and served in the U.S. army before marrying Gwyneth and settling in Toronto. They settled in Downsview and were active in the St. Wilfred's parish community. He retired from many years of service with the Ontario government in 1989. He was predeceased by his dear Gwyn in 1994. After many struggles with cancer, Ed quietly went to meet her nibs whom he has waited to share the morning paper and coffee with for so long. Giving to others as always, Ed chose to donate his body to the Faculty of Medicine at U of T. For family and Friends who mourn the loss of Ed, there will be a celebration of his life in the spring. After a lengthy illness the family of June McLEOD (BEAVIS) express with sorrow her passing on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Country Terrace Nursing Home. Born in Sheffield, England on June 4, 1926 she was a war bride of 57 years to the late Roy Micky McLEOD (2002.) Loving mother of Jill (John) WARNICA, Paul (Linda) McLEOD and Anne (John) MOLNAR. Special mother to Joan WARNICA. Beloved grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 3. Predeceased by her son Glenn McLEOD. As her home was open to many, so was her heart. She will be dearly missed. Family and Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (one block east of Egerton) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Keith STOKES officiating. Cremation and inurnment at a later date. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes or the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edna May (ALLEN) MOLNAR at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Sunday, November 19, 2006 in her 86th year. Wife of the late Peter MOLNAR (1963.) Dearest mother of daughter Gail LEAPER (wife of the late Allan LEAPER 1990) of Hamilton, sons George (Cathy) of Ingersoll and Gary (Patti) of Orilia. Devoted "Nana" to Mark (Caroline) and Kirk LEAPER; Brad, Christopher (Erin), Matthew (Melanie), Adam MOLNAR and Sean, Brett and Brooke MOLNAR. " Great Nana" to Sarah and Andrew LEAPER (predeceased by Catherine Hope LEAPER) Ashleigh and Mitchell MOLNAR and Isabelle and Matthew MOLNAR. Edna took her position very seriously at the Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute where she was employed for 19 years until her retirement as a manager in 1985. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where service will be held on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alexandra Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Scarborough Grace Hospital in his 81st year. Retired after many years at Litton Systems. Dearly beloved husband of the late Vera (nee BOZIAN.) Loving Dad of Sandy and her husband Duncan JOHNSON. Predeceased by his parents Paul and Julia and his sister Margaret. Loving brother of Violet MOLNAR. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and many long-time Friends. No funeral was held and cremation has taken place. Passed away at Fitzroy Harbour on Monday, April 17, 2006, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Valerie.
