Wayne was a school teacher at East Elgin Secondary School in Aylmer for over 30 years and upon retirement, pursued his love of writing and pinochle. Born to August and Mary (SCHMIDT) MANTO on March 13, 1912, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Monday, April 24, 2006, in her 95th year. Survived by her brother Harold and Margaret MANTO. Beloved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Vincent and son Paul, sisters Marie BRISTOW, Clara STEUERNOL, Lillian ANDROSS, Ruth BARRENS and Eilleen (infant) and her brother Herman MANTO. Gertrude resided in London for many years before moving to Rockwood Terrace Retirement Home, Durham in 2005. She had a love of reading, music and a great passion for knitting and creating many beautiful projects. She will be sadly missed by her new Friends at Rockwood Terrace. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Wednesday morning from 11: 30 until 12:30 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Saint_Joseph's Church, 89 Charles Street on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. Peacefully, on her 90th birthday, on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Charlotte and Frank HEATH of Oakville; her husbands Clifford ROGERS (who passed away in 1965,) and Leslie MANUEL (who passed away in 1998); and her brothers Harry, Edward, Francis, Douglas and William. Mabel is survived by her sister Jean WALLER (late Edward) of Burlington; her brother Hubert HEATH (Mae) of Oakville; sisters-in-law Josephine HEATH of Oakville and Ethel of North Bay. "Aunt Mame" will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and Friends. She enjoyed a long career as a devoted former employee of St. Stephen's Chapel, Archdiocese of Toronto. Grace was an extraordinary individual and will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered. Rita died in Toronto on Friday, one day after her 80th birthday. Predeceased by her mother and best friend Annette GROULX. Despite no lucky breaks in life, with characteristic stubbornness, Rita's sly sense of humour persevered even in her final days. Rita will be fondly remembered by her cousin Ellen MANZO (John;) her cousin, caregiver and friend Janet MANZO (Bob YONEDA;) many GROULX relatives in the Sudbury/Chelmsford area and Friends from both the "chocolate factory" and the St. Clair/Dufferin neighbourhood in Toronto. Special thanks to Bell at Living Assistance Services.
