Loving twin brother of Randy BELCOT and his wife Sue of Cambridge, and of Cheryl and her husband Philip DRAKE of Smithville. Much loved uncle of Katelynn, Billy, Darcy and Olivia DRAKE, and Joe and Jill BELCOT. Ron will also be forever remembered and sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, Friends and colleagues. A graduate of Devry Institute of Technology, Ron attained his EET degree in 1980, and his CSC, CPH, PDO and CTA designations in later years. Susan is the much loved wife of Scott MALCOLM, Brantford, adored mother of Hunter (Hazel) of Brantford, Emily DUFFY (Earl) of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Robert of Brantford and Gramma Su-Su of Finlay. Susan is the cherished daughter of Kathryn FORBES and the late Bruce FORBES, and dear sister of Robert (Kate) and Jim (Susie). She will also be deeply missed by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan touched the lives of many students at Brantford Collegiate Institute and Paris District High School and was a lifetime member of St. Andrew's United Church. Dr. MALCOLM was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather to wife, Jane, daughter, Cheri BROWN and son-in-law Paul of Hong Kong, son, Paul and daughter-in-law Leslie of Thunder Bay, Ontario, son, Scott and daughter-in-law Grace of Sioux Lookout, Ontario, granddaughters, Shae MALCOLM and Kyla and Kiana MALCOLM. A graduate of Toronto University Faculty of Medicine in 1947, Doctor MALCOLM practiced in Northern Ontario for many years. He was a Coroner, Regional Medical Officer for the Province of Ontario and various other companies before coming to Texas in 1984 to practice. He was Past District Governor of District 5580 Rotary International in 1976-1977 and a member of the Rotary Club of Dallas. MALCOLM, Kate Howard (formerly PENCE, née ABNEY)
Kate was born October 15, 1915 near Napton, Missouri and died December 1, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario. Both sides of her family had come to America in the late 1600's and the family spirit for adventure was one Kate embodied throughout her life. She was the eldest of five girls - Mary, Madge, Agnes and Cynthia. After college, Kate taught English and music in several small towns in Missouri during the late thirties and early forties. In 1942, Kate married Otho PENCE who was in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was killed in action in 1943. After his death, Kate joined the American Red Cross and was sent to India. In 1944, she met Jim MALCOLM, an English officer, and they married in Brantford, Ontario in 1947. In 1950 they moved to Toronto. Kate and Jim had four children, Douglas, Victoria, Keith and Nancy. Kate returned to teaching in 1963. She taught kindergarten at Daystrom Drive Public School until she retired in 1981. In retirement, Kate pursued her hobbies of painting, playing the piano, gardening, and travelling. Kate was past president of Ryerson's Recollections group. In 2004, Kate self-published her memoirs based on the Recollection's stories. She died in her apartment surrounded by family and Friends. She is predeceased by her husbands, her son, Keith, and her sister, Cynthia. She leaves her remaining sisters and children, nine grandchildren - Kerry, Gillian, Ian, Ariel, Nicholas, Jesse, Gareth, James, and Quiller - and two honorary grandchildren, Alexander and Matthew. No motive apparent in garage double killing
Scarborough deaths and fatal shooting in West End bring city homicide total to 38

Toronto's homicide total for the year has risen to 38 after a middle-aged woman and a 31-year-old father of three were found slain in a blood-soaked garage on a quiet Scarborough street.
The shooting took place late Wednesday. In an unrelated gun incident earlier the same evening on the other side of the city, a man newly released from prison was shot in the head. He died of his injuries yesterday.
Both of the Scarborough victims, believed to be Canadians of Filipino origin, were shot in the head and were discovered by the man's wife when she returned home, police said. The relationship between the two deceased was not clear, police said.
Two assailants believed to be Filipino or southern Asian, wearing light-coloured shirts, were being sought.
Detective Mike BARSKY of the homicide squad discounted widely circulating suggestions that the female victim -- identified by other police sources as Isabelita MALEJANA, 56, of west-end Toronto -- was a transsexual or transvestite. "I don't know where that came from," he said.
A former neighbour said Ms. MALEJANA was married with children. The family used to live on Embro Drive, near Allen Road and Sheppard Avenue.
"It's so sad that this happened," said Emily, who spoke on the condition that her last name not be published. "She was very quiet. She didn't come out of the house very much. The family kept to themselves for the most part."
Emily said the family moved away from the area about a year-and-a-half ago, but she didn't know where they had been planning to relocate.
Speculation that the crime was a murder-suicide is false, Det. BARSKY said. However, no motive was immediately apparent.
The second victim was identified as Virgilio CUEVAS, whose wife discovered the bodies at 58 Canoe Cres., near Steeles Avenue and Markham Road, when she opened her garage door at around 8: 40 p.m. and called 911.
Mr. CUEVAS and Ms. MALEJANA were pronounced dead on arrival at Sunnybrook hospital.
Neighbours described seeing a bloody scene inside the garage after police arrived.
"I came outside and ran across the street and saw the police running with their guns out," said Jupiter ENGRACIA, who lives down the street from the house.
"There was a body in the garage with blood spattered everywhere."
When emergency crews removed the other body, it was wrapped in a blanket, Mr. ENGRACIA said.
Ammunition was reported to have been found in the home, but police said there was no sign of a gun at the crime scene.
The couple's three children, all believed to be under 5, were in the house at the time and were uninjured.
Late in the evening, police removed them from the family home. Neighbours said they often saw Mr. CUEVAS playing outside with his children.
Yesterday, police tape cordoned off the front yard of the home as a police cruiser guarded the area. A lawn mower and three small bicycles sat in the yard.
Neighbours said they were shocked that such a gruesome slaying could happen in this quiet, newly built subdivision.
"This is scary; it's just two houses away," said Darwin RUBIO, "My wife wants to move…. This makes her want to move more so."
Separately on Wednesday night, a man in his 40s and just freed from jail for breach of probation was also taken to Sunnybrook hospital in critical condition.
Shot and wounded in an apartment above a bar on Weston Road near Eglinton Avenue, he succumbed to his wounds yesterday.
The man's identity was not immediately released, pending notification of relatives, but a friend who said she knew him well gave his name as Gerald McDONALD.
Four unidentified youths were spotted fleeing that crime scene. The incident was the latest in a rash of recent fatal shootings in the Weston Road area.
The three deaths push the city's firearms-related tally close to the same number as was recorded this time last year. In total, 52 people died as a result of gunshot wounds in 2005, an all-time high.

Suddenly and peacefully at home in his 92nd year. Jack PETRIE, beloved husband of Phyllis (née CLIPPERTON) for 54 years, and devoted, cherished father of Debra and son-in-law Lee (MALES,) Kent and friend Tammie, and Leah and son-in-law Peter; grandchildren Graham, Erica, Ashley, Jordan and Shawn. Predeceased by daughter Donna (1961) and son Alan (1999), brothers Lorne, Bill, Glen, Ken, Bud, and sister Lenore. Survived by sister Olive and Steven MANLEY, sisters-in-law Hazel PETRIE and Jean PETRIE and a large extended family. To know Jack was to immediately like him. He always greeted you with a smile, a mischievous twinkle in his eye and a little chuckle as if to say "I've been waiting for you to arrive, now let's enjoy ourselves". A lifelong resident of the London area, Jack worked at Kellogg's up to his retirement in 1979. Apart from work, his private life revolved around his family and many interests. In his younger years he would have been called a sportsman. He excelled at everything he did. All at one time, he was a scratch golfer, a city-wide champion bowler, horseshoe player, marksman, billiard player and raised gamecocks for sport. He loved to tinker and was an accomplished musician, mastering many instruments including the fiddle, guitar, harmonica, piano and mandolin, playing daily right up to the time of his passing. Jack had a passion for old-time country music and one of his hobbies was to play the fiddle at impromptu gatherings and jambories around the area, and continued to do so into his mid-eighties. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and he loved to entertain people. Apart from his music, he would keep us laughing for hours with stories of his youth, events and mishaps along the way. Jack enjoyed life, lived well and never lost his youthful zeal. As a result of his many interests and considerable charisma, Jack accumulated a long list of lifelong Friends, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
