Born and grew up in Saskatoon. An accomplished musician and violinist, she attended the University of Saskatchewan one year after which she attended the Toronto Conservatory of Music for two years on scholarship and then went to London, England for further study with Carl Flesch. She lived in England during World War 2 working with the British Red Cross in a first aid post in London and in hospitals in England. She was awarded a British Red Cross medal. After this she returned to Canada with her husband Doctor Noel JENKINS. A musical career was not possible after an attack of polio which badly affected her right arm and hand. She became active in several organizations in Regina - the Regina Musical Club, Canadian Club, and Regina Arts Commission. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Ann WHITMORE (John) of Edmonton and Denise JENKINS- FOLSTAD (Dale) of Regina; and four granddaughters, Amy, Sarah, Catherine, Victoria. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Noël JENKINS; her parents Mr. and Mrs. J.W. MAGUIRE of Saskatoon two sisters, Hilda MAGUIRE of Saskatoon, Irene MAGUIRE of Washington, D.C.; and three brothers, the Honourable Percy MAGUIRE, Regina, Dr. Clarence MAGUIRE, Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Doctor Webster MAGUIRE, Vancouver. MacNAB, Ronald Stewart
Peacefully, in Ottawa on Thursday, November 30, 2006. Born in Arnprior, Ontario, 20 January 1911, he was the youngest son of George and Gertrude MacNAB. He was predeceased by his first wife the former Marguerite MAGUIRE (1995,) brothers George, Finlay, Joseph and Cameron, sister Flora, and grand_son Ronald James STEWARD/STEWART/STUART. After attending school in Arnprior, he worked for Ontario Hydro in Arnprior and in Ottawa for the Department of Fisheries, the Auditor General's Office and the Civil Service Commission. He received his B.Comm. from Queen's University in 1938. From 1925 to 1940 he served with the militia in the Lanark and Renfrew Scottish Regiment. He was called to active service in May 1940 and served with the Canadian Army as an officer in Canada and England with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, the Princess Louise Dragoon Guards, the headquarters of the 4th Armoured Brigade and the headquarters of the 4th Armoured Division. He went with the Division to Normandy July-December 1944 and spent the remainder of the war on assignment to Canadian Military Headquarters in England. After the war he served as a reserve officer in the 1st Hussars (London, Ontario) from which he retired in the early 1960s with the rank of Major. Immediately after his discharge from the Army in 1945, he enrolled in Osgoode Hall and graduated with a law degree in 1948. Following graduation, he worked briefly for the Civil Service Commission and the United Kingdom Trade Commission in Ottawa before beginning the practice of law in London, Ontario where he worked first for Jeffery and Jeffery 1951-1957 and then formed a law partnership with Reginald LAMON (Lamon and Macnab 1957-1969). He was appointed a County Court Judge in 1969 - a position he held until 1984. Always interested in sports, he played in the 1920s and 30s for Arnprior in the Upper Ottawa Valley Baseball League, and the Metropolitans, Rideaus and Davidsons in the Ottawa City Baseball League. He was a member of the Rangers team in the Ottawa City Football League and was invited to a try-out with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Ontario Rugby Football League. As a member of the rifle team in the militia he won several shooting medals at the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association meets at Connaught Ranges. When he wasn't at his cottage at Pontiac Station, he enjoyed both golf and trap shooting at the London Hunt Club, shooting his last perfect trap score at the age of eighty-eight (88). He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Vimy Branch and Saint_James Anglican Church in London. For the last 5 years he has lived in Ottawa. He is survived by his second wife Flora (GRAHAM) CADIEUX, son Alan (Anne) of Seattle, daughters Heather (James) STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Halifax and Jean (Thomas) ANDERSON of Dunrobin, grand_sons Gregory (Elizabeth) STEWARD/STEWART/STUART and Christopher, Matthew and Geoffrey ANDERSON, great-grand_sons Félix and André STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, stepchildren Hope, Colleen, Ronald, Lee and their children. Clarence Elroy HARRISON passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2006 at Rockwood Terrace, Durham.
Elroy was born May 29, 1921 on Lot 3, Conc. 16, Proton Township to the late Clarence and Agnes Jane "Jean" (WEIR) HARRISON. He will be missed by his only sister, Agnes McEACHERN of Durham.
In his youth he worked on the home farm with his father and Uncle Phillip who farmed across the road until enlisting in the army during World War 2. He married Eva Florence COLLINS in Toronto November 25, 1944.
They purchased Lot 3, Concession 17 where they farmed and raised a family of three sons, Doug, Ken and Lorne. They were members of the Salem United Church until it closed in 1966. During the 50's and 60's, Elroy was a well-respected member of the Swinton Park Local of the Ontario Farmers Union. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 285, Dundalk for 42 years.
His hobby was raising and training racehorses and the family enjoyed many trips to the track where Elroy and Eva made Friends with many Harness Racing families from all over southern Ontario. They both loved a good game of euchre and the Saturday night dances at the Durham Legion.
Eva passed away in November 1991 and Elroy continued farming until his retirement. In January 2003, he went to live with his son Lorne and moved to Rockwood Terrace in March 2004.
Left to mourn are his sons Doug (Mary Belle), Ken (Katie) and Lorne (Liz). He is sadly missed by his grandchildren Julie (Tyler) BEINGESSNER, Mark HARRISON, Krista HARRISON and Kevin (Cheryl) HARRISON and his great-grandchildren Cole and Cooper BEINGESSNER and Ethan and Teryn HARRISON. He is remembered by his brother-in-law, Bill (Berny) COLLINS, his nieces and nephews and many Weir and HARRISON cousins and their families.
Visitation was held at the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home, Wednesday evening, December 6. The funeral service and committal was conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7 with Rev. David NICHOLSON officiating and Gayle MAGWOOD, organist. His son Ken compiled and read the eulogy.
The pallbearers were Ross McEACHERN, Wallace HARRISON, Anson McCABE, Michael SCHERER Kevin HARRISON and Mark HARRISON. The flower bearers were Krista HARRISON (the family spray,) Cheryl HARRISON, Ethan HARRISON, Lorna SCHERER, Joan TANAKA, Linda TOPPING, Nancy COLLINS, Louise COLLINS, Claire McEACHERN and her friend, Eton. Following the funeral, Friends and family gathered at the Royal Canadian Legion, Durham for a social time and luncheon, which was catered by members of the Legion and their associates.
Interment will take place at McNeil Cemetery, Priceville in the spring of 2007.

The family of the late Elroy HARRISON would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff of Rockwood Terrace for the excellent care they provided to our brother, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa the past three years. We are sincerely grateful for the cards, flowers, phone calls, hugs, food brought to our homes, expressions of sympathy and support from our places of work, our family, Friends and neighbours who shared their memories. McCALLUM, Kathleen
Kathleen McCALLUM, of Hanover, passed away suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on Sunday, September 10, 2006. She was 88. Survived by brother Duncan McCALLUM of Hanover, sisters Dorothy MAGWOOD of Hanover and Norma (Pat) JACKLIN of Chesley, nieces and nephews Richard, Bruce, Janet, Allan, Martha, John, Ann, Patricia, Jane, great nieces and nephews Michelle, Michael, Heather, Ashley, Melanie, Dan, Leah, Jory, Luke, Carly, Cale Duncan, Jesse, Jeremy, Lori, Scot, Christopher, Alexa, Kristy, Tanner, Dereck, Kevin, Cortney and Destinee. Predeceased by a niece Jean.
