He is survived by his brothers Gary and Barb MASON of Sarnia, Ernie and Vernan MASON of London and his sister Ada LOCKING also of London. He was a special uncle of Lisa and Steven MASON, and Mike WILSON of Sarnia, Sherrie Lynn and Barry LOCKING of London. Bryan was a very special great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many Aunts and Uncles. Fondly remembered by a special friend. Predeceased by his mother Georgina in 2000. Bryan was a construction foreman at G.M.S. in Sarnia. He also had a passion for baseball and was the founder of The Swamp Rats Baseball Team. Suddenly in Vancouver, April 14, 2006, while en route to Australia to visit family, in his 63rd year. Cam, beloved husband of Sam ION, remembered with love by daughter Jayne ION and her husband Nick LOCKWOOD; son Russ ION and his wife Deanne and grand_sons Zachary and Aleksander, his family and many Friends in the newspaper business as well as the provincial government. A talented writer and dedicated, exceptional newspaper editor respected by his colleagues at the Windsor Star and the Toronto Sun, Cam loved his family, his work, the Lake of Bays area and the family mutt, McDuff. A celebration of Cam's life will be held Friday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 10 Trinity Square, Toronto (behind the Eaton Centre). ROGERS, John Victor "Vic" (May 24, 1933-March 29, 2006)
John Victor " Vic" ROGERS, our ultimate Prostate Cancer Warrior, faced his final uphill battle and challenge just as he lived always believing that something good was possible. He died peacefully in Calgary, confident in the love of his family, Friends and God. Vic is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Marion (née ATWELL) ROGERS; their children, Carolyn ROGERS of Calgary James "Jim" ROGERS and his wife Lisanne (née LOCKYER) of Houston and Sheryl PURDY and her husband Stormont of Calgary. Vic is survived by seven grandchildren; brother Thomas ROGERS and brother-in-law Gordon ATWELL, both of Toronto. He was predeceased by his parents Muriel and Jack ROGERS; sister-in-law Carol ATWELL and granddaughter Heather PURDY. Vic was born in Montreal, Quebec; spent eleven years in London, Ontario; then chose to live in Calgary and Harvie Heights for the rest of his life. Vic spent his entire business career in the Investment Business, beginning with Nesbitt Thompson in Montreal; transferring with Northwest Territories to London, Ontario, then to Calgary where he eventually started Rogers and Partners Securities Inc. He particularly enjoyed financing small companies. Vic was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity (McGill University) and was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (now Ivey) Business School (M.B.A.). Vic was a volunteer for dozens of organizations, including the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede and the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, and served on many boards of directors and executive committees.
