Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1985. Ruth was
born in Winnipeg on March 24th, 1920, where she lived most of
her life. She was a lifelong member of Young United Church where
she made many lasting Friendships. Throughout her life she was
very much involved in the Girl Guides of Canada organization,
in later life becoming a member of the Trefoil Guild. Mom worked
for Clarks-Gambles in the payroll department of MacLeods for
many years. Mom enjoyed her family and her Friends immensely.
In her retirement years she traveled to Australia, New Zealand,
Europe, New York, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. She was a picture taker
and loved to share her photos with family and Friends. Cremation
has taken place. A celebration of Mom's life will take place
on Wednesday March 1st, at 11: 00 a.m., at Young United Church,
Winnipeg. A reception will follow the service. The family would
like to thank the caring staff at Lions Personal Care Centre
for their excellent care over the last two years.

year battle with cancer. He departed this world at home in Brantford

During his second career, later in life, Alf served the Ontario
Government from 1984 to 1998 as a Court Constable, Sheriff's
Deputy and a Court Services Officer. Friends will be received

A graduate of nursing from Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario
and Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Dorothy joined the medical
corps shortly after the war broke out, served at Westminster
Hospital in London and then overseas in an operating tent close
to the front lines. Upon her return from the war Dorothy graduated
from the University of Western Ontario in public health in 1947.
Dorothy joined the Victorian Order of Nurses and served in Ottawa
and Brantford before becoming head of the Oakville Victorian
Order of Nurses where she served from 1954 to 1966. Dorothy organized
and oversaw the Home Care programme in Hamilton-Wentworth until
her retirement in 1974. Many good Friends fondly remember Dot's
"gingerbread house" on the Bronte Road, Oakville, where she spent
many happy years feeding the birds and looking after her cats.
A private memorial gathering is to be announced. Memorial donations

in various factories in London, Ontario, O Pee Chee Gum, McCormick's
Biscuits, Kelvinator, General Steel Wares (on war work) and Natures.
She also bowled on a team for Taylor Electric. Ede was a member
of the Chancel Guild for many years at the Church of the Epiphany,
London and for over forty years at Saint Mark's Anglican Church,
Brantford. She was a creative seamstress/dressmaker providing
most of the clothing for herself and her daughter, as well as
items for church bazaars and an avid and talented gardener for
most of her life. After the age of 65, Ede studied oil painting,
which was one of her lifelong dreams, and became an excellent
and prolific painter. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves
Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Thursday from

Miki trained as a nurse in Scotland and served in the Second
World War, where she met and nursed her dear husband Jan After
immigrating to Canada in 1949 with two small sons, two daughters
and another son were soon added to her family. In the 50's and
60's, Miki was passionately busy with her young family, volunteer
work, baking, knitting, and homemaking. She returned to the workforce
at University Hospital in the early 70's following the death
of her dear husband. Miki will be remembered for her devotion
to her family, her compassion for others, her love of cats and
books (especially Stephen King), her storytelling, and special
occasions celebrated with a glass of "Julio". Despite incredible
hardships, Miki had a love of life and an incredibly strong Scottish
constitution. She will live on in our hearts forever! Visitors
will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo
Street at King, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers

Peacefully at the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington after a long
and courageous struggle with cancer. Dearly loved sister of Judd
(Dale), Bert (previously deceased) and Lee (Celia) and admired
aunt to Chris, Kent, Sheri, Anthony and Craig. Noni was the long
time companion and great friend of Barb
McLELLAN and was greatly
saddened when a stroke took Barb this past July. Noni and Barb
hiked the Bruce Trail together, end to end. They were both well
known for their philanthropy in many and various causes. Noni,
a truly great lady in every sense, will be sadly missed by all
her family and loyal Friends. The family gives grateful thanks
to all the nurturing caregivers at Carpenter Hospice and especially

Harold CLARK (or affectionately "Man" as he was known to his
family) died peacefully at Southlake Village nursing home in
Newmarket, Ontario on Friday, December 22. Harold was the devoted
husband of Mary
KNIGHT until her death in 2000, and the generous
and loving father of Brian and his wife Dianne of Mahwah, New
Jersey. He was also the proud and caring grandfather and great-grandfather
of: Jeffrey and his wife Shannon and their children Mackenzie,
Creighton, Evy and Brendan of Aurora, Ontario; Kristen and her
husband Chad of Dayton, Ohio; Timothy and his wife Lisa and their
children Aidan and Molly of Ramsey, New Jersey; and Kathryn of
Toronto, Ontario. Harold was born in Toronto and survived both
his older brother Leonard and his younger brother Reginald. Harold
served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a trainer of pilots
during World War 2. After some time as a floor-trader on the
Toronto Stock Exchange, he spent most of his working career at
British-American Oil (later Gulf Oil) until his retirement in
1977. Harold's love of music was a passion throughout his life,
beginning as a choirboy at age five and culminating most recently
as a 'Barbershopper' in both the Markham chorus and as a member
of the "Suburbanaires." Family and Friends take comfort from
the fact that heaven most certainly has another joyful singer.

A graduate of nursing from Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario
and Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Dorothy joined the medical
corps shortly after the war broke out, served at Westminster
Hospital in London and then overseas in an operating tent close
to the front lines. Upon her return from the war Dorothy graduated
from the U.W.O. in public health in 1947. Dorothy joined the
Victorian Order of Nurses and served in Ottawa and Brantford
before becoming head of the Oakville Victorian Order of Nurses
where she served from 1954 to 1966. Dorothy organized and oversaw
the Home Care programme in Hamilton-Wentworth until her retirement
in 1974. Many good Friends fondly remember Dot's "gingerbread
house" on the Bronte Road, Oakville, where she spent many happy
years feeding the birds and looking after her cats. A private
memorial gathering is to be announced. Memorial donations may

place. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Saint Paul's Anglican
Church, Main Street, Sundridge on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at
11: 00 a.m. with the Reverend Alan
KNIGHT officiating. Spring
interment at the Strong Cemetery, Sundridge. If desired, memorial
donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated
