Until recently, Floyd sold real estate in Middlesex and Lambton Counties and had previously, proudly served as an O.P.P. for 12 years in the Lambton and Kent area. Beloved husband of Teresa (née KERRIGAN.) Dear father of Robert and Prim HANNON of Jamaica, Beth Anne GABEL and Elwyn McQUILLAN of Windsor, Juli and George JONGENEEL of Parkhill and Christopher and Bonita HANNON of London. Dear grandfather of Brent and Rachel, Danielle, Brent and Jessica, Gage, Tanner and Nathan. Dear great-grandfather of Fallon and Madison. Dear brother of Harold and Norma HANNON of Alvinston. She was survived by her son, Dr. Joel KERSCHENBAUM of The Woodlands, Texas, and her daughter, Myra SHERMAN of Waterloo. A dedicated teacher, coach and military cadet instructor, he achieved educational breakthroughs, including creating the first Black and Asian High School Course in Canada. He had deep social conscience and displayed an amazing knowledge of Matters Historical. He was a charter founder of the McDonalds Coffee Club. He will be deeply missed. Loving mother and grandmother, passed away April 27, 2006 at Bluewater Health Mitton Street Site at the age of 81. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth F. WALKER (1992) and her son Frank (March 3, 2006). She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law Norma-Jean and Bryan HILL; daughter-in-law Anita WALKER and 5 grandchildren Darcy, Casey and Jordy BERRY, Eric WALKER and Laura (Matt) PIGGOTT. Ruth was born at the Kerton Farm at the London and Forest Townlines, June 27, 1924 and was the last surviving child of Bertha (BURGAR) and Henry KERTON. She was predeceased by 8 siblings - Lloyd (1967), Amy (1908), Elbie (1909), Clayton (1985), Mary (1988), Ella (1975), Norma (1943), and Vernon (1946). We will miss her company, Sunday dinners, coffee and butter tarts and her good-bye waves from the picture window and the front porch. "A rose will still be a rose in heaven, but it'll smell ten times sweeter". A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
