Great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many devoted nieces and nephews who were a great source of happiness to her as age and illness advanced. Donalda was born in Saint Thomas on May 9, 1946. Betty was predeceased by her husband John " Jack" Ford LEVER, and is survived by her sons Jack (Jane) of Parry Sound and William (Fawzia) of Ottawa; dear brother George (Lois) of Peterborough; grandchildren Bill LEVER (Lyndsay) of Guelph, Laura LOCKHART (Robert) of Parry Sound, Melissa VARRICCHIO (Nicholas) of Oakville, Allison and Julia LEVER and Aurangzeb and Miriam KHAN of Ottawa; newborn great-granddaughter Julia Nicole VARRICCHIO and great-granddaughter Lauren LEVER; nieces Patricia (Ray) KELTERBORN and Karen (Roger) COWEY; and nephews Dennis (Karen) LEVER and George (Cheryl) FROGGETT. A flower has bloomed in heaven. After a courageous and dignified battle with cancer, Merrilee COOMBS left us on September 16, 2006 to bloom in heaven. Merrilee of London, will be greatly missed by her loving husband Chris and three sons, Justin and fiancé Melanie NOWELL, Jeff and Alyson KELVIN, Joel and Mardi LEATHORNE. Merrilee also leaves behind her sister Ruthanne THAIN and husband Doug of Blenheim, her sister Janet HARVEY of London, her brother Bill HARVEY and wife Treena of Chatham and her brother-in-law Max SMITH of Morpeth. Merrilee is predeceased by her sister Patricia SMITH (2005,) her parents Florence and William HARVEY of Morpeth and parents-in-law Peg and Cleave COOMBS of Seaforth.
