Born in Toronto April 10, 1921, Ruth Gunning McGILL died peacefully, with family present, at Hardy Terrace, Mt. Pleasant, Ontario Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at age 85 years. Wife of Doctor W.L.C. McGILL and former wife of the late Eric P.J. ZURRER. Survived by daughters Anne MARTIN and her husband Rick, Brantford, and Carol JANSON and her husband Andris, Ottawa, and son Robert ZURRER and his wife Lesley, Crofton, British Columbia. Predeceased by parents Anne (née McNEIL) and Charles Williams, sons Paul ZURRER (1949) and John ZURRER (1983,) brother Jack WILLIAMS and sister Betty LOGAN. Beloved husband of Gerdina Maria (GYSBERS) LUYKS and loved father of Jean and her husband Grant GODDEERIS of Saint Thomas, Willy and his wife Ann of Port Stanley, Joe and his wife Cathy of Alberta, Diane and her husband Raymond JANSSENS of Appin, Paul and Peter both of Southwold and Mary Ann and her husband Brian CAUGHELL of Fingal. Dear brother of Cathrina GYSBERS of Ilderton and 2 brothers in Holland and 1 in California. Sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. James was born in Holland on January 27, 1926, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (OOMS) LUYKS. He came to Canada in 1950 and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Holy Angels' Church. James served with the Dutch Army during World War II in Indonesia. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Thursday morning and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Lazaros NESSINIS (1986). Loving mother to her cherished and darling daughter Toula NESSINIS. Daughter of the late Methodis and Demetra TSATLIS. Sister of Eva STAMCOS, Olga EVANS, Foula IOANNIDIS, and the late Kalliopi TSATLIS. Loving aunt to George STAMCOS, Tom STAMCOS, Maria JANTA, Toula COUSENS, Michael STAMCOS, John STAMCOS, Lana EVANS, Paul IOANNIDIS, Nick IOANNIDIS, Helen CHRONOPOULOS, Stella GOLTSIOS, Susie NEAGA, Danny NESSINIS, Nick NESSINIS, Kathy ROMAS, and their respective families. Beloved grandmother (Gramms) of Cynthia, Christine (Mark) JANY, Jennifer, David (Sarah,) Greg (Sara) CHRISTIE, and Andrew (Jill) CHRISTIE. Great-grandmother of Laura, Katie, Olivia and Roan. After a lengthy illness, Kay is finally at rest and will always be fondly remembered by family and Friends. Suddenly, March 3rd, at his residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Barrie Albert NOONAN, formerly of Ingersoll, Ontario in his 66th year. Predeceased by his wife Patricia (1996), father Albert (1965,) mother Vera (1995) and mother-in-law Erma BEATY (2000.) Survived by sisters Karen (John) FELDER of Nairn, Nora (Don) HOLDEN of Ingersoll, Phyllis (Jim) STOAKLEY of Norwich; brothers-in-law Bruce (Helen) of Vernon, British Columbia and Keith (Leslie) of Toronto. He will also be mourned by his godchildren, Stephan BAILEY of Vancouver and Barrie Jordon JANZ of Edmonton and many nieces and nephews. Barrie's academic portfolio consisted of a B.A.(Hon.) (1964) University of Western Ontario, M.A. (1966) University of Western Ontario, M.A.Sc. (1968), in Applied Psychology, University of Waterloo, Ph.D. (1980) in Counselling Psychology, University of Alberta. Barrie had retired from the University of Manitoba, Dept. of Psychology where he had been the Director of Student Couselling for many years. Upon retirement, he pursued his love of travel and reading. His generosity showed itself in the time spent and the numerous donations to many institutions including the Association of Community Living in Beausejour, Manitoba of which he was past Director. Cremation has taken place.
