Born August 29, 1943 in Derbyshire, England a son of Frank and Hilda (née HOWE) CAVE, Dick CAVE passed away peacefully, at La Farm in Duncan, Ontario with family at his side on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at the age of 62. He is survived by his much loved wife and partner of 18 years, Sally LEPPARD. Loving father of Emma (and Brian,) Steve (and Kerry,) Kate (and Kris,) Liz NIELD (nee McHARDY, and Jim,) Louise (and Chris,) Jamie McHARDY, and sadly missed by his beloved granddaughter, Sarah Grace. Dear brother of Sue and her husband Dave WHITEHEAD of Cornwall, England. Also remembered as a dear son-in-law by John and Jocey LEPPARD, and as a special brother-in-law and uncle by their families. Dick emigrated from Derby, England as a Civil Engineer in 1969. He worked with Kilbourn Engineering until 1984 when he founded the Ontario-based R. Cave and Associates Engineering Inc. There he nurtured a tradition of creative, pragmatic and holistic engineering solutions to Canada's waste management and ecological problems. He finished his career with Trow Consulting in Brampton. A memorial funeral service in remembrance of Dick will be conducted at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Trowbridge Street West in Meaford, on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. A private family disposition of Dick's cremated remains will be conducted at a later date. Father of Barrie (Debbie), George (Tara) and the late Andrew (1989). Albert was a gifted musician, church organist and teacher. He was Artistic Director of North Bay's Haileyfest for many years. He was a member of the Huntsville Rotary Club and Director of the Huntsville Community Choir. Albert's infectious smile and his many "stories" will be greatly missed. Predeceased by her loving husband Stewart (1961), her brother Thomas BALDERSTON, her sisters and their spouses Jenny (Clarence) ROOKE, Frances (Wallace) BEST, Stella (Clarence) HOWE, Laurabelle (Roy) WELLS. Kay is survived by her two step-children Harry (Audrey) WELLS, Kay (the late Bev) WOODS and many nieces and nephews that will forever cherish their precious memories of her and the entire family. Kay was gifted with a wonderful, dry, sense of humor and had a great love for all of God's creatures. Died peacefully May 28, 2006, at Sunnybrook Veteran's Hospital. Born in Toronto, 1921, Jim attended Crescent and Appleby schools. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940 and served in England and Canada. Following the war, he graduated from Ontario Agricultural College. Setting aside his dream of continuing his family's farming history, he joined the Upjohn Co. of Canada and later went into advertising. In 1973, he established Scholar House Publishing, a successful publisher of trade magazines. Rosemary, his wife of 61 years, his children, Anthony, Anne Vink, David and Christine Picard, as well as his 8 grandchildren, will sadly miss Jim as husband, father and grandfather. Brother of the late Joan HOWE and Janet HORNING, Jim will be warmly remembered by his sister Judith YOUNG, his family, and many Friends for his giving nature and unique sense of humour. He leaves his adoring wife, Sally LEPPARD, partner of 18 years. By his side, throughout his 4 year battle with cancer, and for always, are his treasured and adored children - Emma (and Brian), Steve (and Kerry), Kate (and Kris,) Liz NIELD (née McHARDY, and Jim,) Louise (and Chris,) Jamie McHARDY, and his precious and beloved granddaughter, Sarah Grace. After emigrating from Derby, England as a Civil Engineer in 1969, he worked with Kilbourn Engineering until 1984 when he founded the Ontario-based R. Cave and Associates Engineering Inc. There he nurtured a tradition of creative, pragmatic and holistic engineering solutions to Canada's waste management and ecological problems. He finished his career with Trow Consulting in Brampton. Our family's grateful thanks go to those who cared for Dick in his last stage of life - the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, the Owen Sound Community Care Access Centre home care team and nurses Lorraine, Royanne, Sue and Laurie, and "spa lady" Sharon, Dr. and Mrs. Tony ROWLINSON, Joyce STRAITON, Dr. Jennifer KNOX and Bettina of Princess Margaret Hospital, and Dr. Marwan FAKIH of Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
