It is with profound sadness that the family of Murray Clarence MOSHER announces his passing on March 10th 2006. Murray was born in Bristol, Prince Edward Island on August 1, 1919, son of the late Dwight and Minnie MOSHER. Preceding him, brothers Herman, Steward, and Harold MOSHER, and sisters Pearl JACKSON, Ellen HORBIN and Edna FORD. Sisters-in-law Gertrude MOSHER, Martha JOHNSON and Viva FLETCHER. Brothers-in-law George JACKSON, Ernie FORD, Gordon BRACKENBURY and Clifford FLETCHER. Surviving is his much loved sister Clara JAMES, brothers-in-law Earl JAMES, Reg HORBIN, sisters-in-law Beulah BRACKENBURY and Hazel MOSHER. He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife and caregiver of 62 years (April 6th, 1944) Leliah MOSHER (TERRY,) his only child and daughter, Deborah Mosher JAREMCHUK, his precious grandchildren, "Hazie Boy", Hayden MARKS and "papa's girl" Jessica JAREMCHUK. Also mourning his loss is his friend, companion and caregiver, son-in-law Tim MARKS, and his parents Gloria and Fred MARKS. Uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews throughout the Maritimes and Ontario. God-father to Anne FLHIVE. Murray as an adult married and built his first home in Turo, Nova Scotia and with his wife moved to Ontario in 1950. He worked at McCormick's Ltd. until his retirement in 1982. He returned every summer to his beloved Prince Edward Island until failing health in 2002 prevented his yearly pilgrimage "down home". Aside from his beloved birthplace Murray had a passion for horse racing and hockey, a true Maple Leaf fan his entire life. As a husband he was thoughtful and considerate, as a father he was loving and patient, as a papa he was proud and beyond overjoyed, as a friend he was dependable and kind hearted, and as a human being he was sweet and good natured. Murray was not a distinguished or refined man by birth, profession or status. Yet he was and is held in the highest regard by all who knew him, as a person who valued his family, valued doing the right things and would lend a helping hand quietly and unassumingly when needed. A thank you to Comcare for their wonderful devotion and visits over the past two years. A special thank you to Della. Also the family would like to acknowledge Western Area Youth Services/C.H.L. and staff for their compassion as an agency in giving the time needed by the family to be with Murray. Pallbearers nephews: Stan JACKSON, Blair JAMES, Todd MOOSEBURGER, Doug BRACKENBURY, Ron FLETCHER and John FLETCHER. Dave was a member of Wellington/Victory Lodge, Ahcom Shrine Club, Chatham Concert Band in which he played the Euphouium and the Salvation Army Band in his youth, and a member of St. Andrew's United Church where he was an elder and base in the church choir. He was an active tennis player, and played the trombone in the "Carefree Goldtones" Dance Orchestra and a member of the Chapel Choir in Carefree Country Club both in Florida. A Service of Remembrance for Mr. BEXTON will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, (85 William Street, Chatham) on Tuesday December 19th, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Michael BROOKS officiating. Cremation has taken place. A Masonic Service will be held in the church at 1: 30 p.m. under the auspices of Wellington/Victory Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. He was the proud grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Blanche (HOUGHTON) LUNN (1998.) Dearly loved step-father of Gerald E. CHAMBERLAIN and his wife Margaret of London, and Larry H. CHAMBERLAIN his wife Sandra of Saint Thomas. Also fondly remembered by 7 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Mary DINNING and the late Clarence J. LUNN. Born in Port Talbot, Ontario, March 23, 1910, the son of the late Thomas J. and Lizzie (HORN) LUNN. A retired employee of Elgin Co-Operative Services, he also farmed in the Frome area for a number of years. Mr. LUNN was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Saint Thomas and was a former Deputy Reeve of Southwold Township. Peacefully at Country Terrace, Komoka, Ontario, on Monday, July 3, 2006, Doctor Christopher Frederick MacRAE in his 97th year. Born in Wardsville, Ontario in 1909, the only son of Farqhuar and Frances (SIMPSON) MacRAE. He was educated in Glencoe, Ontario schools and later at the University of Western Ontario (B.A. '30), McMaster University (M.A. '49), and the University of Toronto (PhD '53). A teacher of English literature, his career began at Delta Collegiate in Hamilton, moved him, subsequently, to high schools in Russell and Hagersville, Ontario, took him, from 1949 to 1963, to Mount Allsion University in Sackville, New Brunswick, and finally to the University of Waterloo, Ontario from where he retired in 1977, then to become Professor Emeritus. Active in the affairs of the Anglican Church of Canada, he served as lay reader (and occasionally, a member of synod) in the dioceses of Niagara, Fredericton and Huron. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth WILLIAMS, Stratford,▼ Ontario,▼ two sons, Peter MacRAE (Helen), Pictou, Nova Scotia, and David MacRAE, Guelph, Ontario seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He is predeceased by Jessie (HORN,) his wife of 50 years, as well as by his only sister, Marjorie WARDEN, and by two children, Catherine and Kenneth, both of whom died in infancy.
