Suddenly and peacefully at Toronto Western Hospital on Sunday, March 12, 2006, following a short illness. Anne was born and raised in Toronto, the daughter of the late William LAWSON and the late Lottie LAWSON. She▼ was the loving sister of Doctor Marion JOHNSTON (Wallace,▼) the late Kathleen BECK (Ben) and the late Marguerite McLENNAN (William.▼) She▼ is survived by her nephew Dr. Peter BECK (Izi,▼) her niece Doctor Anne WALLACE (Jack) and her nephew Del McLENNAN Q.C. (Jackie.) She was predeceased by her nephew Paul BECK, her niece Margie JOHNSTON and her nephew Gordon McLENNAN. She▼ is also survived by her great-nephews and nieces, Kathleen HOOKES, Suzanne PANTELUK, Patricia CONRADI, Doctor Paul BECK, Elizabeth DUMAINE, John BECK, Paul WALLACE, Liz PATERSON, John WALLACE, David WALLACE and Sarah McLENNAN- STAPLETON. Anne is further survived by 20 great-great-nephews and nieces. Anne's father wished each of his daughters to attain a university education in days when post-secondary education for women was not common. Anne and each of her sisters graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto. Anne specialized in household economics and, after graduation, taught in Fort Frances, Ontario. She often referred to her time in Fort Frances as being very happy and enjoyable. She subsequently joined the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2. She was commissioned as a Section Officer and was posted as chief dietician at Sea Island, Vancouver. After the war she taught at Fort William (now Thunder Bay) and subsequently Toronto. Anne was subsequently asked to join the staff of London Teachers College in London, Ontario. In the early 1960's, Anne was transferred to Toronto where she served as a provincial inspector of schools. In this capacity she travelled the Province of Ontario for many years. Anne and her Friends travelled the world and enjoyed every minute of it. In later years she enjoyed discussing the details of their travels with others. Anne maintained her intellectual abilities and considerable curiosity until her final days. She always enjoyed a challenging game of bridge with Friends. In 1967 Anne was awarded the Centennial Medal by the Government of Canada. At Anne's request, she has been cremated and a family memorial service will be held at a later date. Morley Bedford Funeral Services, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto (416-489-8733), is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Anne would suggest a donation to a worthy charity of your choice.

Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2006 at Ina Grafton Gage Home in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Stanley. Dear mother of Sherry WHITTINGTON (Bill) and Jim (Adele.) Loving grandmother of Sarah (Frank), Amy, Jon (Maggie) and Beth (Jared). Great-grandmother of Alexander and Robin. Helen was predeceased by her twin brother Elm (Marion) and her siblings Clyde, Norm and Doris. The family will receive Friends for a Service of Remembrance at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. PEROWNE, Ronald Herbert (1918-2006)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Ronald Herbert PEROWNE, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Dad was born on Waverly Street to Anna HOOKS and Herbert PEROWNE. A gifted athlete from a very early age, Dad was a member of the McGill Redmen football and hockey championship teams, honoured member of the McGill sports Hall of Fame, hockey player with the Senior Royals, and recipient of The Montreal Sportsman's trophy. In 1940, Dad enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy, where, during World War 2, he served as Lieutenant on the corvette, H.M.C.S. Woodstock. In 1945, he married the love of his life, Eunice Hellyer McCONNELL, to whom he was married for 57 years, until Eunie succumbed to cancer in 2002. Dad joined Dominion Textile in 1945 after the war, where he pursued a dynamic career, spanning over 50 years, rising to the rank of President, C.E.O., and Chairman of the Board. A great competitor, Dad played golf, poker, bridge, and hearts with passion, if not always with skill! An avid tennis player, even at 80 years of age, Dad was still giving all of us a run for our money on the tennis court at the family home on Lac Marois. Dad was extremely committed to family and Friends, and took great pride in his roles as trustee of the Jean Beliveau Foundation, avid supporter of the Cedars Cancer Institute, and as an active canvasser for the Mount Royal United Church, as well as numerous charitable organizations. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Eunice, and his sister, Margaret. He is survived by his children, JoAnn (Derek GUTHRIE,) Cathy (Pat PATTERSON), Elaine (Austin METZE), Ron (Gail MURPHY), and Ian (Debbie HOWLETT,) his grandchildren Kelly, Christine, Holly, Ryan, Charlie, Fred, Lisa, Chris, Jim, Greg, and Eric, as well as seven great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all of us. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006, at 4.00 p.m. at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cedars Cancer Research Foundation, or to the charity of your choice.

Passed away peacefully at Toronto Grace Hospital on January 30, 2006 during prayer, in the Spirit of the Lord. Devoted and loving mother of Robert. Survived also by her siblings, An, Chris, Jan, and Elly, and many nieces and nephews throughout the Netherlands and Australia. Predeceased by her beloved husband Willem Jan, and siblings Marie, Wil, Tien, and Mien. Throughout her life and illness, her irrepressible joy, love, and faith touched all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered by her family, very special in-laws and her many dear Friends. She will also be sorely missed, but we rejoice that she has been freed to join her Creator. Passed away suddenly on March 30, 2006 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 55. He was born on June 10, 1950 in Oirschot, the Netherlands. He was the eldest son of Maria HOOP and Gerard MAAS. He is survived by his brother, Peter, and sisters, Marjo and Annelies. Loving father of daughters Lauren, Tania and Kaitlin MAAS and dear friend of Louise HAMILTON. Hans will be sorely missed by Friends and family. He touched many lives in his own special way. Passed away peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Friday December 8, 2006. In her 79th year, Veronica Teresa SOLINGER (née MYATT,) the beloved wife of the late Laurence SOLINGER (died December 9, 1999.) The loving mother of Frank SOLINGER and his wife Claudia and Patricia BAYLEY. Proud Gramma of Noah and Hana SOLINGER, Mijka and her husband Bobby HOOPER, and Petra and her husband Scott BALLANTYNE. Special great Gramma Soli of Bayleigh HOOPER, Nolan and Paige BALLANTYNE. Loving sister of Gwen (Mrs. Harold MURPHY.) Sister-in-law of Naomi (Mrs. Clem MYATT) and Katie (Mrs. Cy MYATT). Special Aunt Moni will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Suddenly, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, April 29, 2006 F. Bruce GRUNDY of R.R.#1 Mount Elgin (Dereham Centre) in his 67th year. Proprietor of BK Services and an active participant in his Church-Bethel Temple and in his community). Bruce was born in Strathroy, April 13, 1940, son of the late Gordon GRUNDY and the late former Myrtle NOYES. Survived by Muriel PAYNE of Ailsa Craig and the late former James PAYNE. Much loved husband of 44 years of Doris (CLARK) GRUNDY. Of Tillsonburg, passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 9, 2006, in his 75th year. Born in Raleigh Township, Kent County, in the Blenheim, Ontario area on August 14, 1931. son of the late Alfred Pardo STORY (May 12, 1973) and the former Lorna (WOODS) STORY (January 21, 1985.) Edwin is survived by his wife Eleanor (HUFFMAN) STORY. They have been married for 53 years. He is survived by his daughter, Janet and her husband Richard GURALSKI and their children Ryan and Brent of Tillsonburg his son, Paul and his wife Susan (VUYLSTEKE) and their children Kathleen and Matthew of Kilworth; his daughter, Karen and her children Mallory and Michael SWING of Tillsonburg; and his son, Allan and his wife Heidi (PETTIGREW) and their children Alexander and Claire of Barrie. Also survived by brother-in-law Ross HUFFMAN and his wife Patricia (HOOPER) of Cedar Springs; and sister-in-law Madge (PLATSCHORRE) STORY of Chatham, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brother Richard (Dick) STORY of Chatham (September 15, 1994,) sister-in-law Marjorie (SNOW) RANCE of Blenheim (November 18, 1993) and her husband Tom RANCE, also of Blenheim (October 8, 1993.) The STORYs moved to Tillsonburg in 1961. Ed was a retired tobacco executive from Canadian Leaf Tobacco Co. (Chatham and Tillsonburg) and RJR MacDonald Tobacco Co. (Tillsonburg, Kingsville and Toronto). In 1984, he went on to become the first and only president and Chief Executive Officer of Canagrex (a Canadian Federal Crown Corporation) set up in Ottawa to export agriculture products. After its demise, he continued in management and export consulting. In 1991, he became part owner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Recreation and Industrial Products Corp., Tillsonburg, retiring in 1996. Ed was a Councilor, Town of Tillsonburg, from 1978 to 1980, a life-long member of Kent Lodge 274 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, Blenheim, Ontario, a member of Saint Paul's United Church, Tillsonburg, a private pilot and past President of The Tillsonburg Flying Club, as well as an avid trapshooter and member of The Otter Valley Rod and Gun Club and The Oxford Sportsman's Club.
