Born and raised in Harwich Township 86 years ago son of the late Reginald WARRINER and Annie PILBEAM. Gordon farmed and lived in the fourth line community until moving to Blenheim Community Village last year. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn WARRINER (PICKERING;) three sons, Roy and Frances of Trout Creek, Ivan and Janet, Garry and Elaine all of Blenheim. Missing their Grandfather are Jackee and Paul GROENEWEGEN, Scott and Shawna WARRINER, Julianne WARRINER, Todd and Bev WARRINER, Lynne, Nick and Paul WARRINER along with seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Gord's two sisters Evelyn MUIR (Burke) of Blenheim, Margaret (David) BALDWIN of Erie Beach and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the J.L. Hans loved his family and Friends. He is best remembered by his colleagues as the General Manager of The Island Yacht Club for 25 years. Winters were filled with his love for skiing the Austrian Alps. He remained an optimist his entire life. Edith was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, the first of four children born to John and Dorothy BARRIE. Frank and Edith were married in Lethbridge on June 1, 1944 and moved from Calgary to Oshawa in 1961. Besides her husband Frank, Edith is survived by brother John (Joyce) BARRIE of Kimberley, British Columbia; daughter Donna (Les) MOORE of Brampton, Ontario; two grand_sons Brad (Tammy) and Scott (Anne) MOORE of Brampton, Ontario granddaughter Carley (Brad) GRONDIN, Orangeville, Ontario; great-grandchildren Breanna, Bryce, Daniel, Cameron and several nieces and nephews. Edith was predeceased by infant sister Jeanette and infant brother Leonard. In her lifetime, Edith was employed at Income Tax Office, Vancouver, British Columbia, Sears of Calgary, Eatons Oshawa Centre and Shoppers, Oshawa. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville, on Sunday, March 5, 2006, with her family at her side. Born Henrietta MacDONALD, beloved wife of the late August Gus BODNAR, loving mother of Bonnie and husband Paul O'BRIEN, Greg and wife Jayne, Carolyn and husband Peter EVANS, Andrea and husband John GERENDA, and Cheryl and husband Brian GRONKE. Proud Nana to Melissa, Meaghan, Jay, Calli, Tegan, Ryan, Eric, Alexandra and Lara. Predeceased by her parents Roderick and Margaret MacDONALD (née MONTGOMERY) her brothers Jack, Alister, and Roderick; and sister Peggy (Margaret) PORTER. Born in 1922 in Stornaway, Scotland on the Isle of Lewis, she was only three years of age when her mother, father, and two older brothers left for a better life in Canada. After settling in Toronto, she and her brothers learned English, although Gaelic remained the predominant language spoken at home. Her family came from modest means but they managed to afford highland dancing lessons for her at a local dance school. When the depression hit in 1929, her family moved to Fort William, now Thunder Bay, where she continued her dancing and won many championships. She also played the bagpipes in the Fort William Girls Pipe Band. It was in Fort William that she also met her husband of 57 years and high school sweetheart, Gus BODNAR. Etta was a devoted wife and with his successful hockey career as player, and later coach and manager which frequently caused him to be away from home, she raised their five children all the while creating a home environment that emphasized family and fostered interests and opportunities that were not possible when she was growing up. Etta and Gus enjoyed spending time with and entertaining their many Friends, as well as her adventures with Bonnie and Paul in the far northern reaches of the Yukon, with Carolyn and Peter returning to Etta's native Scotland, with Andrea and John in sunny Bermuda, and with Cheryl and Brian in Ontario's cottage country. Etta particularly enjoyed her time with Gus, and their many Friends and family at their winter home in Lake Placid, Florida, playing golf and relaxing in the warm southern climate. Etta was active throughout her life, not only with highland dancing (she could still do a fling in her 70's) but golf and curling and she maintained a regular exercise routine throughout her 80's. She adored her grandchildren and took pleasure in seeing them blossom through the years. She will be very much missed as a loving and devoted wife, mother, nana and friend. In accordance with Etta's wishes a private family gathering was held. In lieu of flowers, charitable receipted donations can be made in Etta's memory to the Highland Dancers Association of Ontario c/o 24 Baymark Road, Thornhill, Ontario, L3T 3X9.

Born in Toronto July 5, 1925 Tom's journey through life was rich and varied rising out of his passion and commitment to the United Church and his vision of hope using his skills of sharing and teaching. He was an agriculturist, journalist, facilitator and adult educator. Tom was most in his element when he was surrounded by people working towards a common goal. Along his life's road, Tom formed countless deep and lasting relationships and touched the lives of people all over the world. A memorial service will be held at First United Church 721 Bernard Ave. in Kelowna on Thursday March 2nd at 1: 00 p.m. with Reverend Helen Hobbs and Rev. Walter Logan officiating. Lorraine was the loving Nana of 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Mabel (PEARSON) and Robert BURK/BURKE, her sister Marjorie CUTHBERTSON and her brother Robert BURK/BURKE. Born June 10, 1941. Died at home surrounded by his wife and children on Saturday May 27, 2006 after a courageous nine year battle against cancer. Devoted husband to Jennifer (née GROOS,) loving father of Douglas and Julia, father-in-law of Douglas's wife Christine, and grandfather of Helen and Catherine. Also survived by his sister Joan BAUMBER and his brothers Tony PATRIARCHE and John PATRIARCHE. Mike grew up in an Air Force family, frequently moving around Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. During his childhood he developed life-long interests in radio and aviation. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1963. Mike married Jenny in 1964, and flew as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force until 1967. After receiving a master's degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, he worked at the Shirley's Bay communications research facility, the Federal Department of Communications, and Telesat Canada. During this time, son Douglas and daughter Julia were born. In 1981 the family moved to Mississauga, Ontario where Mike was president of a small telecommunications equipment manufacturing company. In 1983, Mike joined Northern Telecom, where as a vice president he helped lead the company into the new arena of cellular and wireless communications. With Nortel, Mike and his family moved to Dallas, Texas, London, England, and Seattle, Washington, where Mike retired in 1998 following his diagnosis with chondrosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Mike was an adventurer. As a private pilot he and his family crisscrossed North America and Europe in their private airplane. In their retirement Mike and Jenny explored the Pacific coasts of Washington and British Columbia for weeks and months at a time in their yacht Bonaventure, moving onto the boat full time for the last three years. We remember Mike for his humanity, his leadership, his determination, and his devotion to his family. We feel his absence terribly. We are very grateful to Doctor E.U. Conrad III, Doctor Sohail Mirza, and Doctor James Butrynski at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for their care and concern. A memorial service will be held at Saint Matthias Anglican Church in Victoria, British Columbia, on Wednesday June 7, at 2 p.m. Donations in Mike's memory may be made to the University of Washington Sarcoma Oncology Endowed Chair (University of Washington Foundation, Box 358240, Seattle, Washington, 981958240), to the American Cancer Society, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Peacefully, at his residence, Wednesday, November 15, 2006, surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous fight with cancer, Robert John ROWCLIFFE, age 51, of Grand Bend, formerly of Hensall. Beloved husband and best friend of Karrie (CONLON) ROWCLIFFE. Loved father of Chris ROWCLIFFE of Hensall, Ashley ROWCLIFFE and companion Mark HARRIS of Clinton, Ryan ROWCLIFFE of Hensall, Joey FORRESTER and companion Stephanie McCLENNAN of Grand Bend, Jonathan and Shelly FORRESTER of Hensall. Loving grandpa of Hannah FORRESTER, Preston HARRIS and Morgan HENDRIKS.
