Loving father of Elizabeth and her husband Robert BOWERMAN, Eileen and her husband Karl FORTNEY, and George Junior of England. George will be fondly missed and remembered by his grandchildren, Rick, Robbie, Edward, Lucy, John, and Steven, and by his great-grandchildren, Sam and Emma. Survived by his sister's Ann RILEY, Florence DUMBELL, and brother Jack DUNN and his wife Josie, all of England. Predeceased by his parents, his wife Margaret (Peggy) his friend Marjorie, and his sister Emma RILEY. George was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. After a very brief illness at London Health Sciences Centre-University Hospital, Dorothy Stott SMITH a long time resident of London, Ilderton and Inverhuron Beach, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2006, in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband A.E. "Pete" SMITH (1993;) her parents Ivor STOTT (1923) and Dorothy Royston STOTT (1966) and by her brother Harold Ivor STOTT (2004.) Dorothy will be remembered as a loving mother by her children Karen Leigh SMITH and Peter Gerald SMITH (Judy) and as a proud grandma, who always kept a candy dish for them, by David Andrew SMITH and Jennifer Lynn SMITH. She will be missed by her extended family: her sister-in-law, Rose Moscrop STOTT her nieces, Adrienne NEWMAN and Leslie FORTUNE (John;) her nephews, Greg STOTT (Debbie) and Peter STOTT (Maureen) and their children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by her cousins Clive ROYSTON and Margaret CROWTHER (Stan) and their family and by her many godchildren. Dorothy was a quiet, retiring woman of great strength who took a keen interest in and was concerned about her world. She always tried to help others in whatever way she could - a helping hand, a thoughtful word, a loving word. We will miss her unfailing support and unconditional love in our lives but the values she nurtured in us will be our guideposts as we continue life's journey. Rest in peace, Mom, we will carry on for you. Died suddenly but peacefully with her family at her side at Saint Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, April 10, 2006. Una was born December 29, 1931 in Ballycanew, County Wexford, Ireland to Alice (FORTUNE) and Murtha MORRIS. She was the eldest sister to James, William, Jane (Nolan), Murtha, Patrick and Gerald. Una was the beloved wife of H. Dermot "Derry" SWEENY who predeceased her in June 1998. She was the loving mother to Brian (Mary Ann), Dermot (Marie), Paul (Marie-Josée,) Pauline (Mike RONZIO,) John (Monica) and Robert and the cherished Grandma to Patrick, David, Katherine, Siobhan, Emily, Aiden, France-Anne, Christopher, Ryan, Eric and Declan. Together with her husband Derry, Una founded Swenco Limited in 1962 and through the years became a friend, mentor and "mom" to employees and business partners alike. To all who knew her, she was a teacher, dancer, choreographer, gardener, chef, seamstress, leader, entrepreneur, hostess, and true lady. She was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Most importantly she was a loving mother who nurtured and guided all of her children and celebrated each and all of her wonderful grandchildren. Friends are invited to share their memories of Una with her family during visitation at the Edward R.
