DONALDSON,
Eldora
In loving memory of a dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother,
Eldora DONALDSON, who passed away one year ago today, January
It's the small day to day things that make a life of memories.
Mom loved to play cards and we miss- hours of playing "Spite
and Malice" and Texas Hold'em where she "kept us honest", always
stayed in to "see the river" and a "check, raise" would always
be wrong. Her great grandchildren loved to play "Seven's" especially
when she let them keep her winnings. We enjoyed many trips to
Niagara Falls and Sarnia where the Blazing Seven's always paid
off and happiness truly was yelling "Bingo". Mom loved to watch
television and had many favourites- Doug misses watching all
the television judge shows, in particular "Judge Judy", all her
cooking shows and every episode of "Law and Order" (including
all reruns). Mom had a passion for reading and we have inherited
this love. This Christmas was not the same- who would break the
bread for dressing (we had so much leftover this year without
the dressing bandit), who would make the gravy and the rum sauce
for the pudding. Curlers, tennis players (especially Venus and
Serena) and many favourite figure skaters lost their biggest
fan. Her determination (or stubbornness) to keep going even though
most days were difficult and exhausting will always be admired.
Mom, we miss you every day. Love, Geri, Janice, Larry and families.

DONELAN,
June (1940-2006)
On November 17 at McMaster University Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario,
after a long struggle with cancer and its consequences, June
departed this world on the wings of her angels. Born in London,
England, June immigrated to Canada in 1965 to work as a registered
nurse. June and Mark married in 1967 and lived in Vancouver,
British Columbia and Cambridge, England before settling in Burlington,
Ontario in 1971. With the birth of their daughter, Laura (b. 1969)
and son, Maxwell (b. 1973), June thrived in her new role as a
stay-at-home mom. In addition to raising a family, June was an
accomplished nurse, an exceptional massage therapist, a talented
weaver, an avid reader and a crossword aficionado. June and Mark
lived in Miami, Florida from 1996 to 2006 before returning to
Canada this year. Beloved wife of Mark, mother of Laura and Maxwell,
mother-in-law to Paul and Victoria, Nana to Quinn and Indigo
and friend to many, June is fondly remembered as caring, insightful,
hospitable, adventurous and courageous. When asked what advice
she would like to pass on to her grandchildren, she replied "always
follow your own path". A memorial service will be held at Dodsworth and
