Royden HAAS, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Saturday, April 22, 2006. He was 78. Survived by son David (Rebecca) HAAS of R.R.#3 Hanover, daughters Linda COCKERHAM, Susan CRAWFORD and Brenda THOMAS all of Toronto, grandchildren Joanne, Edwin, Chris, Lee and Glen-Thomas. Also survived by sisters Gwen BYFORD and Betty MONK both of Hanover. Predeceased by wife Annie "Nan" THOMAS, a brother Murray HAAS and a grandson Jason. Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Peacefully, at her home with her family at her side on Saturday, October 7, 2006. Lynda ROOT (née SCRATCH) of Owen Sound and formerly of Sauble Beach in her 64th year. Beloved wife of Darrell. Dear mother of Tammy and her husband Chris BYERS of Wiarton and Tiffany and her husband Rob SHEWFELT of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by five grandchildren Lindsay, Tiffany, Isaac, Spencer and Austin. Also survived by her sister Brenda and her husband Jerry HEWSON of Guelph, two great-aunts Dawna and her husband Hank REEVES of Windsor and Lilian KIESLEWSKI of New Baltimore, Michigan, two brothers-in-law John ROOT and his wife Angie of Belle River and Ron ROOT and his wife Sandy of Saint Marys and two sisters-in-law Doreen COCKERHAM of Harrow and Barbara and her husband Art VAZQUEZ of Sterling Heights, Michigan. After a lengthy battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 30th, 2006, with his family by his side. Loving husband of Donna McNALLY. Devoted father of Robert (Paige) and Sara COCKLIN (Marty.) Proud " Little Pa" of Kacey. son of Douglas and the late Mae, brother of Doug and his wife Laurie. David will be lovingly remembered by Laurie (Ma), Fran, Jeff and his nieces and nephews Adam, Lee Anne, Matthew and Michael. Passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, 2006 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 62. Dearest companion and best friend of Willow COCKS of New Hamburg. Dear father of John (Diane) O'NEIL, James (Laurie) O'NEIL, Joelle O'NEIL (Mary) and Matthew O'NEIL, all of Essex County. Grandfather of Shelayne, Damon, Miranda, Rikki Lee, Jayme and Ashley. Dear son of John and Nina (née KNAPP) O'NEIL of Leamington. Ken will be missed by his sister Gail BROWN and her husband Jeff of Leamington. Step-parent of Laurie MINOR (Wayne), Kelly COCKS all of Kitchener. Ken is also survived by his nephews Brad BROWN of Kingsville and Neale BROWN of Burlington. Ken was a well respected business man and cattle buyer most of his life working in Essex, Middlesex, Waterloo and Wellington Counties. He touched many lives and will be sadly missed. Ken's family will receive relatives and Friends on Friday from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 12: 30-1:15 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener 519-749-8467. Deeply saddened are her beloved and devoted husband of 63 years, Donald Jardine, and their dear son James Donald (Vicki). Grammy will be missed by her precious grandchildren, James and Kristine. Predeceased by brother Leslie HAGERMAN (Irma) and sister Marion. Loving aunt to Robert HAGERMAN (Suzanne and daughter Michelle,) Joan HAGERMAN (daughter Kimberley) and Bruce HAGERMAN. Also aunt to Don's nieces and nephews: Susan CONNELL, David (deceased) and Earle PARRISH (Joanne), Jane KILTHEI and Nancy COCKS. Born in 1918, Eleanor grew up in Saskatoon and was the President of the student body of Household Science when she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan. She worked as a dietitian at the University of Toronto, on wartime nutrition for the troops, and was Assistant Superintendent of the Hart House Dining Hall where she met Don, a fellow Westerner from the Hat! A heart-felt thank you to her wonderful doctors, especially Alan FEGELMAN, Stanley FEINBERG and Russell TANZER, the nurses of North York General Hospital and the terrific care-givers from Senior Lifestyle Solutions. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue on Thursday, November 9th from 6-8 p.m. A private family service will be held on Saturday, November 11th at Saint_John's York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive. Dear father of Jack and Norma ALEXANDER of Waterloo and Sylvia MURRAY of St. Catharines.
