Born in Maybole, Scotland on July 5th, 1917; died peacefully
on October 1st, 2006 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of
Christine for 51 years. Much loved father of Alain (Linda) and
Aileen (Raymond). Dearly cherished grandfather of Eleanor and
Imogen WILSON and Graeme and Ian

Tommy held an M.A.
in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Glasgow (1939).
He served during World War 2 in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve
(Fleet Air Arm) from 1939-1945, retiring with the rank of Lt.-Cmdr.
He was a Physics Master and later, Assistant Headmaster at Trinity
College School, Port Hope (1957-1982). He will be sadly missed
and fondly remembered by his fellow musicians in the "Welcome
Buskers" and the Welcome United Church choir, as well as many
Friends and family in Port Hope and Scotland. The family extends
their heartfelt gratitude to Doctor
AZZOPARDI and the nursing staff
of the Northumberland Hills Hospital for their excellent and
compassionate care. At Tommy's request, cremation will take place
followed by a private family interment. Friends are invited to
a memorial service in celebration of Tommy's life which will
be held on Saturday, October 21st, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Welcome

a proud veteran of World War 2 and served in the Royal Air Force

at Dunkirk. Ed was honoured with the British Empire Medal for
his military service. He was a devoted long term employee for
31 years at M.M. Dillon as a Senior Electrical Designer. Ed was
an avid golfer and his musical talents with his ukelele were
enjoyed by many, especially veterans. Grateful thanks to Doctor

children, she retired to the country in Norham, Ontario. After
a courageous fight with cancer, her Lord and Saviour took her
home to be with Him. The Lord is faithful, standing by us and
strengthening us. Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral

She loved our cottage at Plum Pudding Point for over 50 years.

life making music. He displayed clear talent with his toy piano
as a five year old child and within ten years was providing musical
accompaniment in a London cinema at the twilight of the silent
era. After serving in the entertainment division in the Royal
Air Force during World War 2, he began his twenty year association
with the British Broadcasting Corporation, performing on more
than a thousand broadcasts. He went on to conduct, compose and
accompany many well known entertainers. His greatest accomplishment
was as the sole music associate to the late Sir Charles
CHAPLIN.
He emigrated to Canada in 1988 with his wife Phyllis where he
published his autobiography entitled: Making Music with Charlie
