Although
Hubert had no children of his own, he was dearly loved and admired
by his many nephews and nieces and their families. He will be
especially missed by his niece Janis (Marcotte)

her husband Richard, as well as Jean's nephew Wayne
THORPE.
Hubert's
cousins included the family members of "Guy Lombardo and his
Royal Canadians." A proud, life long resident of London, Ontario,
Hubert was known by many as the "Mayor of the Market" for his
almost daily visits there over the years. His extensive knowledge
of London's history amazed everyone who knew him. Hubert was
a kind and gentle man who always had an inquisitive mind and
a keen interest in other people. He was a great cook and shared
his love of food with many. Hubert, our family gatherings won't
be the same without you. You will be missed by all. Many thanks
to the Community Care Access Centre and Victorian Order of Nurses
for their help and support. Visitors will be received at the

and raised in Pike Bay. In 1951 he married Carole and they moved
to their home on the Oliphant Road where they lived until 2004,
when they moved to Kelso Villa in Owen Sound. He worked for the
Ministry of Transportation for thirty-four years until retirement
in 1985. He enjoyed his family, working in the bush, gardening
and traveling. While our hearts are heavy with the loss, even
now the sadness, gives way to joy for having lived our lives
with such a strong, gentle and peaceful man. He had a wonderful
sense of humour and he lived his life with integrity, optimism
and quiet determination. The family will receive Friends at the
George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street Wiarton on Friday from 2: 00
to 4: 00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted
in the chapel on Saturday, January 14th at 2: 00 p.m. with Mr.

with her sister Rosie. Florie will be sadly missed. At Florie's

was devoted to her family and, in her later years, was a very
involved grandmother and great-grandmother. Those wishing to,

we were all blessed with 10 months of the most generous, caring
and trusting person one could know. During this time Vicki has
shown more courage than one can imagine. On Monday, September 11,
2006 she decided to rest. Vicki passed away at 5 p.m. with her
sister at her side, her son, friend, former spouse nearby and
many with her in spirit. Loving mother of Patrick, sister of
Pat, former spouse of Denis and with a large extended family

Vicki was a leader in her field
and enjoyed a wonderful career as a librarian at the Toronto,
Scarborough and Metro Reference Public Libraries, an entrepreneur

be remembered for her unconditional love, support and compassion.

Died suddenly at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge

great-grandfather to Hannah, Ethan, Samantha, Margaret, and Nate.
Gusti came to Canada from Switzerland in 1929 and settled in
the Beach. He began a long and rewarding career as the head chef
at several different hotels namely The Old Mill and The Royal
York. He took great joy from his family, his long walks and all
sports especially horse racing. Gusti had a wonderful sense of
humour and an amazing spirit throughout his life and we will
miss him dearly. Our family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank
you to the very caring staff on the 4th floor at Thompson House.
Funeral Services will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home,
6150 Yonge Street, (at Goulding South of Steeles), on Tuesday,
January 24th, 2006 at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. Condolences

CRESSALL was serving as Sergeant
in the Royal Air Force Intelligence Division during the Second
World▲
War▲ when she met Major Daniel
CASEY of the Royal Canadian
Ordinance Corps. They married in 1943 in England and, at war's
end, she joined her husband in Canada and adopted it as her home.
Mrs. CASEY actively supported a number of charitable organizations
and volunteered at Sunnybrook and Saint Michael's Hospitals. She
was devoted to her family and, in her later years, was a very
involved grandmother and great-grandmother. Those wishing to,
may pay their respects to the family by calling at Mrs.
CASEY's
residence on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday
at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church (Yonge and Cheritan).
Private family burial in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Orillia. If
so desired, donations may be made in Mrs. Casey's memory to a
