PUIM,
Luis "
Lou"
Passed away suddenly on Friday, March 10, 2006, at age 48. Loving
husband of Maria and proud father of daughter Jade and son Brandon.
Survived by his parents Maria and Angelo
PUIM; his brothers Tony,
Ascenio (wife
Joy;) his sister Rita
CARVALHO (husband Joe and
sons Jacob and Jordon;) and his mother-in-law Eduina

SANTOS.
Remembered for his joyful outlook and his focus on family, Lou
achieved an enviable balance between his personal and professional
lives. While dedicating time to Friends and to family hobbies,
tending to their scenic home and gardens in Cambridge, Lou also
reached tremendous professional heights as Vice President of
Marketing at Wal-Mart Canada Corp. in Mississauga. Lou shaped
the public face of Wal-Mart Canada, improving its stores, capturing
diverse customer stories in his much-heralded television ads,
and shaping the company's outreach to Canadians. More importantly,
as a 30-year veteran of the Woolco and Wal-Mart organization,
Lou shaped the company's private face, leaving his many colleagues
and Friends a legacy of friendliness and professionalism, perfectly
combined. Profiled recently by a trade magazine as a marketing
pioneer, Lou was asked to list his favourite television shows.
His response was simple, but revealing: "I don't watch television.
When I get home my wife and I just talk." He will be missed.
