Of Lions head passed away suddenly on Friday, June 16th, 2006 in her 68th year. Cherished mother of Ian (Anita) of Woodstock and Ron (Joanne) of Kitchener and dear grandmother of Katie, Ricki, Frankie and Luke. Beloved companion and best friend of Murray BRAY of Lions Head. She will also be missed by 11 step grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her parents Jean (MacKIE) and Stanley CROW. The family received Friends at the Davidson Chapel, Lions head on Sunday, June 18th from 2: 00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Monday (today), June 19th at the Central United Church, Lions head at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. Dear mother of Dr. John Richard MERRITT and his wife Heather, of Denfield (formerly Parkhill), Dr. Robert D. Born in Hamrun, Malta on February 27, 1925, daughter of the late Carmela Bray and Carmel FORMOSA, she came to Canada in 1963. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Marlene and Ted GEHL of Chatham, Mary Rose and Michael PATTERSON of London; Eugene MAMO and Richard MURRAY of Dresden and sons Alfred and wife Cathy of London and Charles and his friend Magali of Kingsville; 12 grand and 3 great-grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren 3 sisters Polly CREMONA of Toronto, Mary XUEREB of Chatham and Carmen BRAY of Toronto and 3 brothers, Alfred, Arthur and Maurice FORMOSA all of Chatham. Predeceased by his parents Florence (née GRAY/GREY) and Thomas FENTON; wife Florence (née PHILLIP) in 1985, infant son Rickie and brother William FENTON. Proud father of Thomas (Carol) of Timmins, Dennis of Quesnel, British Columbia, Robert of New Liskeard and Patricia CLAREY of London. Also survived by daughter-in-law Suzanne of Montreal and son-in-law John CLAREY of Niagara Falls. Doting grandpa of Natalie (Jason) BRAZEAU of Timmins, Susan (David) KENNEDY of Simcoe, Bradley CLAREY of Toronto, Richard and Denis FENTON of Sechelt, British Columbia, Sarah (Peter) ST JEAN and Christine FENTON of Montreal; great-grandpa to Tyson and Larissa BRAZEAU, Riley and Jessica KENNEDY, Rebecca, Denis Jr and Richard FENTON and Amber ST JEAN; and many nieces and nephews. Mr FENTON served as Sergeant in the Algonquin Regiment during the Second World War. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 44 Cobalt, and retired from Cyanimide Ltd in Niagara Falls. He enjoyed fishing, outdoor life and community Friends. He will be remembered for his many kindnesses and "joie de vie."
