Lovingly missed by her nieces, Shirley SHANTZ (Eldon,) Judy MARTIN (Paul) and Helen TURNER and by her nephew, David RICHARDSON and by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Muriel is predeceased by her husband, Fred BRAGG (1988), sister Margaret (1982) and nephews John (1962) and Peter (1999). She was a valued long-time employee of Canada Life and Confederation Life, and was a faithful member of Jarvis St. Baptist Church in Toronto and Faith Evangelical Missionary Church in Kitchener. Barbara Marie ADAM/ADAMS passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on February 3rd, 2006. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Barbara worked for many years as a secretary for the Shore family in Ontario, before moving to Alberta. Barbara will be survived by her sisters, Elenore (Noni) REID and Marjory FASSETT, her daughters Rebecca ROBBLEE (Bob), Julie BRAHAM (Tim ADRIAN), and daughter-in-law Inga ADAM/ADAMS. Barbara will also be sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren, Shana LONGSTAFF, Brandon BRAHAM, Alisa SCOTT, Wade BRAHAM, Caitlin BRAHAM, James ADAM/ADAMS, and Christian ADRIAN, and 2 great-grandchildren, Zac and Adam LONGSTAFF, as well as her many family and Friends. Bruce was born in Strathroy, April 13, 1940, son of the late Gordon GRUNDY and the late former Myrtle NOYES. Survived by Muriel PAYNE of Ailsa Craig and the late former James PAYNE. Much loved husband of 44 years of Doris (CLARK) GRUNDY. Very peacefully, surrounded by his family, James has set forth on his final sail. son of the late James and Kathleen DEVEREUX. Adored husband for nearly 50 years to Barbara. Father of six, Mark (Marylynn,) British Columbia; Michele (Paul) MENDELSON, Toronto; Nikki (Paul) BRAND, England; Melissa (Paul), Ireland Matthew and James. Beloved Granddad to Samantha, Alex, Kathryn Jared, Austin, Natasha; Nathan and Max. Beloved brother to Pat, Eileen, Joe, Bernie, Kathleen and Maura. Born in Liverpool, England, eldest of seven, James early years were shaped by growing up during the war. He joined the Royal Air Force and saw action in Egypt. As a mechanical engineer he worked the tug boats in Liverpool. He immigrated to Canada, sent for Barbara WOODS and they were married. Jim worked at Texaco Refinery in Clarkson. He raised his six children on Southdown Road and started his diverse career. Jim was Manager of Motor Specialty, later Magna, then became manager of Nepentha, and later Maxwell's Plum in Yorkville. He was in charge of renovations of the King Edward Hotel in 1981 and later the Essex Park. Jim retired in the mid 80's and started building his beloved boat "The O'Sean", a 58' ketch. At 65, he sailed solo, across the North Atlantic, enduring force 8 gales. He spent many years sailing but that ended in 2001, when after traversing the South Atlantic, Jim was felled by a stroke in Barbados. He spent several years in Canada, but returned to England, where he passed away after a short illness. He was cremated on May 12th in England.
